  1. That big mark he took at the front of the pack against Carlton (I think) gave a taste of what he's capable of. Has a good reach and good hands.
  2. Weid needs patience and support. He'll make it. Needs more muscle and further development both at Casey and in the seniors. Has good hands, tries to position himself well at the front of packs (despite getting outbodied), has a good set shot routine and can kick well either foot. Weid wont be the competative beast that Hogan is, probably wont have the tank to do what he does, but he compliments Hogan well. Weid's strengths will be his leading patterns, reach and good hands, and goal awareness. Looking forward, I'd rather have him than Paddy.
  3. Who's foggy?
  4. Ah yes, a sucker born every day!
  5. Sans skin? What's the local custom Biffen?
  6. Saw that and spat out my drink at his stupidity. Find it hilarious that these 'professionals' make such definitive statements with no basic research of the facts. Pity he's not paid on par to reporting accuracy.
  7. That would make me both laugh and cry
  8. The past, the present and the future walk into a bar together. It was tense...
  9. I'm mortified you think that way Biffen.
  10. A woman says to the mortician, "I've got my husband here in his very best blue suit, but what I'd really appreciate is if you could have him in a black suit for the funeral. Here's a blank check, use whatever you need, I just want him in a black suit." The mortician agrees and thanks the woman and then she leaves. Now a second woman comes in and says, "I know I've brought my husband wearing a black suit, but I've always really loved him in blue. Is there any way you can have him in a blue suit for his funeral?" The mortician assures her that it's not a problem and the second woman thanks him and leaves. A few days later the mortician shows up at the first man's funeral and his widow walks up and says, "Thank you so much for doing this. My husband looks wonderful in the black suit you found him." The mortician replies, "Of course, I was happy to do it. And here's your check back." "No, I really appreciate it and I want to pay you, just take whatever you need." "Oh no really, it didn't cost me anything. You see, right after you came in a woman showed up with her husband in a black suit and she wanted him wearing blue. So in the end all I had to do was switch the heads."
  11. It's commonly known as the turned blind eye
  12. A mate of mine who coaches at a middle level at Marcellin told me before that draft that Bont was both the most polite kid and the best talent he had seen come through the school in 25 years. I was stupidly hoping he might go through to us, but alas...
  13. C'mon man, no love for Vinny Catoggio? Go the fro! What about the Ruggolo bros?
  14. There's a rumour going around that uncle bitter is a naturalist (a very cold naturalist) and he might Skype Grapeviney and Andy for this week's podcast. In that case, let's hope he doesn't sit too far back from the ipad
  15. Like it. Shiel isn't a FA, I think, so we'd have to trade. Still bite into our sc a lot
  16. Omac is tracking fine. With another couple of preseasons and increased core/upper body strength, he'll become they second key back we need. More games and strength will help him. We really need an experienced A grade midfielder to come in next year. They aren't easy to get, but I'd be having a big crack at Fyfe or Dusty. Cost us a packet, but as FAs we'd still have our draft picks. Unless we are forced to trade for them...
  17. RSI yet boffin? Edit. Auto correct at its best
  18. Badly needed Maple. There's plenty of 'common' on this thread, but not much 'sense'. Perhaps you could recruit some more people with common sense from your native Cameroonia to add to your wise contributions.
  19. And then the punches flew, and chairs were smashed in two!
  20. Can't live without you Red.
  21. Maple's back and in fine form!
  22. This ^^ Midfield wins games IMO. We have lots of youth and potential in our midfield but I'd prefer to trade for another experienced A grade mid than a key back. Having said that, I would not be unhappy to see Lever at the Dees. 'Lever to Demons' sounds like a sitcom.
  23. I like Lever a lot, but agree with those saying we need an established A grade mid to support our young ones. Control the ball better in the midfield and our back line will hold its own.
  24. What can we use as leverage?
  25. I'm more of a Brunswick-type craft beer man. They don't sell by the goon bag.
