  1. Not really matt. Ran a lot though. Been running since he left us
  2. Did we get Clary via F/S?
  3. Mono, it didn't stop them letting the Dogs get away with plenty of dubious handballs in the GF last year, nor during this season so far.
  4. We've lacked leadership for many years. Jones has been our best leader over the last 5-6 years, but many others should have stood up. Dunn wasn't a leader. Don't think Dawes was, but he wasn't on the park enough to lead. Vince a leader, no. Watts, no. TMac, no. ATM Lewis is the best we have. I've banged on in other threads about our opponent's leaders the last two weeks and how they inspired their team to get over the line. Fyfe, Sandy, Cotch, Martin, Riewoldt. so who are our future leaders that will make a difference? Oliver? Stretch? Salem?
  5. Yep, he has an amazing ability to know where everyone is in the contest, which direction they are facing and their momentum so as to put the ball to their direct advantage and away from an opponent. That dish off to Garlett last night where Jeffy streamed in to kick the goal is but one example. Often this happens in a fraction of a second and when he himself is travelling at speed, making the task all the more amazing.
  6. Any feedback on this @dazzledavey36?
  7. Can't help injuries. Can help suspension. Hard to judge importance when the guy got himself suspended. And here I was at trade time thinking he was the smart leader we needed....
  8. Spencer down, Smith ribs, others hobble like walking dead... I take it back Red. You have a good point.
  9. So what's the rules for international rookies and (if he's good enough) does this fella fall within that?
  10. Our most optimistic year for over a decade, well for some anyway. Cool vent Red. Way to go.
  11. Nice kid. Good prospect. Pity we'll be nowhere near pick 1 at the end of this year
  12. He might have them, but he won't have the only copy. No doubt the club and Dank have some or all the dirt. Btw, could there ever be a more appropriate name than 'Dank'?
  13. Yeah, I too find it hard to believe all these people who claim innocence and blame others yet don't reveal the records or any other info that might clear them. Dank, the Weapon, Bomber, Hird, the players etc. Can't have it both ways. BOMBER, IF YOU ARE INNOCENT THEN SHOW US WHAT YOU'VE GOT, ALL OF IT, OTHERWISE CRAWL BACK INTO YOUR HOLE AND SHUT UP!
  14. That big mark he took at the front of the pack against Carlton (I think) gave a taste of what he's capable of. Has a good reach and good hands.
  15. Weid needs patience and support. He'll make it. Needs more muscle and further development both at Casey and in the seniors. Has good hands, tries to position himself well at the front of packs (despite getting outbodied), has a good set shot routine and can kick well either foot. Weid wont be the competative beast that Hogan is, probably wont have the tank to do what he does, but he compliments Hogan well. Weid's strengths will be his leading patterns, reach and good hands, and goal awareness. Looking forward, I'd rather have him than Paddy.
  16. Who's foggy?
  17. Ah yes, a sucker born every day!
  18. Sans skin? What's the local custom Biffen?
  19. Saw that and spat out my drink at his stupidity. Find it hilarious that these 'professionals' make such definitive statements with no basic research of the facts. Pity he's not paid on par to reporting accuracy.
  20. That would make me both laugh and cry
  21. The past, the present and the future walk into a bar together. It was tense...
  22. I'm mortified you think that way Biffen.
  23. A woman says to the mortician, "I've got my husband here in his very best blue suit, but what I'd really appreciate is if you could have him in a black suit for the funeral. Here's a blank check, use whatever you need, I just want him in a black suit." The mortician agrees and thanks the woman and then she leaves. Now a second woman comes in and says, "I know I've brought my husband wearing a black suit, but I've always really loved him in blue. Is there any way you can have him in a blue suit for his funeral?" The mortician assures her that it's not a problem and the second woman thanks him and leaves. A few days later the mortician shows up at the first man's funeral and his widow walks up and says, "Thank you so much for doing this. My husband looks wonderful in the black suit you found him." The mortician replies, "Of course, I was happy to do it. And here's your check back." "No, I really appreciate it and I want to pay you, just take whatever you need." "Oh no really, it didn't cost me anything. You see, right after you came in a woman showed up with her husband in a black suit and she wanted him wearing blue. So in the end all I had to do was switch the heads."
  24. It's commonly known as the turned blind eye
  25. A mate of mine who coaches at a middle level at Marcellin told me before that draft that Bont was both the most polite kid and the best talent he had seen come through the school in 25 years. I was stupidly hoping he might go through to us, but alas...
