  1. Still, he put in more dosh than anyone else ever has, by far. And at a time when the well was bone dry in terms of club finances. There was sweet fa chance of us being able to finance the Olympic swimming pool redevelopment. Also worth remembering the Olympic park running track (now Pies training oval) wasn't part of the original plan, it came later due to Eddie's 'coercion'
  2. Need to get Collingwood's biomechanics professor to give evidence: "Nothing to see here"
  3. You'd probably like a pineapple ring, some pickles and smashed avo as well. Double beef, double bacon too Spare nothing
  4. Or gives away a free for unrealistic attempt
  5. Jeffo had one good quarter at Casey and was average for the rest of the game. Took some good marks but kicked poorly. Should've had 5 Needs to start showing he's consistently more than VFL level. Very early days, but it would be fair to say that BBB won't play every game this year and an opportunity will come knocking at some point if Jeffo is ready
  6. Yes, I have been critical of the fumbling, costly turnovers and inability to keep his feet at times in the past. This year ANB has largely removed that and his confidence has soared. Has always been good with pressure acts and tackling, now he's super clean and efficient. Keep it up and he's a big part of us going deep into Sept Good on him and long may this form continue. Speaks very well, a clear leader, reckon he may go into coaching after another couple of flags as a player
  7. Wasn't it two pick in the teens for Lever? That's a steal If Adelaide gave us their '24 and '25 first for Petty we'd be well on top. They are bottom 6 rubbish But I'd much rather he stayed and signed on again. His value to us as a team is huge
  8. Worth noting the top end talent available at Pick 9 Appart from Curnow and McKay x 2, there was Hipwood, Dan Rioli, HHimmelberg, Doedee, Gresham, Burton, Ben Keays, Josh Dunkley, Blake Hardwick, Jordan Dawson and Nate Broad But that's hindsight for ya! Not even Jason Taylor is perfect!
  9. He was their best forward against us a few weeks ago. Had a good game
  10. Trading for Bryce Gibbs was always a big gamble 😉
  11. My bad, Mitchell Thanks nitpicker
  12. Curnow was seen as getting onto trouble too much, which is typical pre-draft smoke and mirrors. McKay brothers were always seen as top end talent. I was surprised with the Weid selection, particularly given the (now justified) hype of Curnow and the McKay twins
  13. Reckon the AFL need to have a quiet word with Ooze to tell Marb Chol to stop going into marking contests knee first every time May and now Stewart
  14. Can I just say that I'm loving the commitment and spirit that Jake Melksham has shown since his ACL. He could've proudly retired last year, but has the hunger for one last shot. His professionalism in rehab is showing the rest of the list that we must not take winning for granted, this is our time. He's going to be an asset in the back half of the season
  15. Are you suggesting a debut for Jeffo, or just go with Fritter and JVR, who hasn't had great impact of late?
  16. As usual, I think you are right on the money, Red Perfect time to rest BBB, if there is a perfect time
  17. Check the chocolate eggs before eating, you might end up with more than egg on your face
  18. Looks like we death rided Freo at the right time last year
  19. Forgive me for being a softy, couldn't help posting this: https://x.com/AFL/status/1773583829720056292?s=20
  20. Picket, I find it helpful to understand your posts if I read them using the voice of Donald Trump. All of a sudden it explains a lot!
  21. Get off the jungle juice, picket! May is 78, which leaves us with only Lever as a tall back in 2 years. Or are you claiming Hore, Howes or Turner as our next key back stars? 🤪
  22. It was almost even half way through 3rd
  23. How was that in the back and not htb?
