  1. And then the punches flew, and chairs were smashed in two!
  2. Can't live without you Red.
  3. Maple's back and in fine form!
  4. This ^^ Midfield wins games IMO. We have lots of youth and potential in our midfield but I'd prefer to trade for another experienced A grade mid than a key back. Having said that, I would not be unhappy to see Lever at the Dees. 'Lever to Demons' sounds like a sitcom.
  5. I like Lever a lot, but agree with those saying we need an established A grade mid to support our young ones. Control the ball better in the midfield and our back line will hold its own.
  6. What can we use as leverage?
  7. I'm more of a Brunswick-type craft beer man. They don't sell by the goon bag.
  8. You'll be hit the hardest Uncle Bitter as the tax is based upon volume, which means your goon bags might double in price to as much as $8. Might even have to drink using a glass vessel rather than the usual 'layback' technique. Culture with a capital K.
  9. And if you are wrong Dr CItyDee?
  10. Bit early for a schnapps Dieter isn't it?
  11. Yes. Another nasty knock yesterday. Surely can't do his long term health any good
  12. We need an irony font
  13. I agree. His first year was a cracker. He seems to be lifting this year, so here's hoping for an injury free 22 games with no concussion
  14. I've always liked the motto "draft for talent, trade for need". There can sometimes be a fine line between talent and need, but I reckon Gus and Trac were the best of both that year (so far anyway).
  15. Has anyone seen Uncle Bitter and Brain Taylor in the same room? Just sayin'
  16. The Bont was previous year to Gus and Trac ENYAW. We had no pick to take him, unless you are referring to the mini draft pick where we got Hogan.
  17. Two young, talented players still learning the game. One is fit and ready to explode, the other tall and still sorting his body out. It would be better to review this in another 2-3 years. Whilst the Trac looks ready to star, he doesn't exactly have multiple BOGs that prove he's there yet.
  18. As much as we rate our midfield, I still believe we cannot have enough high end talent through the middle. It wasn't long ago that we were screaming for help for Chunk. If a quality mid is there, I'd be happy for Taylor to pick em. Or it could be a trade for our first rounder. We are the new destination club, after all!
  19. Not India?!!!!!
  20. When you have sooooooo many first round picks with the AFL'S support it's possible to become lazy about making each one count. Now they are using them more wisely by trading out some of the largesse they have been gifted. The new zone rules will make it more difficult, however the horse may have bolted. But I agree, SOS is over rated as a recruiter. Very happy with Taylor.
  21. You'll need to remind "demonland royalty" Uncle Bitter what he said, as reports are circulating he was on his 3rd bottle of shiraz and can't even remember which of his servants he climbed into bed with at nights end. PS. I'd love to hear a podcast interview between Prodee and Stuie. Would get a [censored] load more than 34 listeners.
  22. Gotta love contemporary deconstruction architecture. It's a much underrated style IMO.
  23. I thought this is how most others saw Melbourne supporters:
  24. Can it do anything for your marching hairline Earl?
  25. Is that some sort of Catholic double entendres?
