Trade Targets
Love the scenarios GtG. I think Oliver is not worth much, unfortunately. We won't get pick 6 and F1 from hawks. We might get F1, around pick 9 or 10, but I honestly think that might be too much. Most non-Dees fans think he's damaged goods and his best is behind him. After this year Petty would get a high 2nd rounder. If we were to use this as a way of moving from 10 to 4 it would be a win Is it true that Adelaide offered 2 x 1sts for Petty last year? Sheesh!

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
I don't mind Jeffo spending a few more weeks at Casey. He's developing very nicely and I see no reason to put him into the seniors until he is absolutely cherry ripe. Such a lovely set shot and the soft hands and one grabs in marking contests are really promising. I agree that a tall forward who is lightly framed should spend all the time he needs at VFL learning leading patterns and body positioning. He's quite different from JvR, which is a good thing long term. Jeffo could have 10+ years on the red and blue if he continues to improve. Wait till he's knocking hard on the door Here's his highlights from the weekend: https://www.afl.com.au/video/1157488

Trade Targets
If LDU requested a trade at the end of this year, regardless of contract status, I'd hope we do whatever it takes to get him. North wont keep him if he's not 100% buy in. We have a first rounder this year, next year and in 2026 (assuming multiple years becomes available). We might also get a decent pick for Petty, if his form turns around 🤞, and he wants to leave. Some of these would make it work. In short, we'll make it happen if he wants to come. Getting him to commit would be the hard part

Trade Targets
Gawn has done two knees and gets bashed from piller to post every week. Can't see him running around for us beyond another 2 years. We definitely need a succession plan at the end of this year, preferably not involving a 2 x AA, soon to be 3 x AA. Imo Moyle could be a good target

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I read that the youngest McCartin brother is showing some good form down the Western Districts (Lorne?), albeit as a mature aged player (25). Swans and Pies have sent list managers down to watch him play. Wonder if we are looking at him

Cale Morton
They would have been Melbournised and delisted within 3 years

Trade Targets
If we aren't going hard for LDU and Battle then I will spew up. Get them and Moyle plus 2 or 3 picks in the draft. That will top us up nicely. Surely with Gus, BBB and possibly Tommo, Tmac and Petty leaving we have cap space?

Part time job, can still have a career outside Paid over $100,000 per year as senior umpire Keeps fitness up Feeds the control freak ego- NON-MFC: Round 14
Giants in the PF and Lions in the GF were hard done by as well. Guess who their opponent was? Maybe its the influence of the ferral pies crowd, but it's definitely a pattern- Dusty Martin
You are right. Not dismissing the seriousness of DUI, but it's hardly a character flaw worthy of passing on him- Trade Targets
2023: Ben McKay, X Duursma, Taylor Adams, Brody Grundy 2022: Brody Grundy, Izak Rankine, Jason Horne Francis, Luke Jackson, Josh Dunkley, Tom Mitchell, Jacob Hopper, Taranto 2021: Adam Cerra, Jordan Dawson 2020: Adam Saad, Peter Wright, Treloar, Cameron, Daniher Whether these guys are 'elite' or not is always up for debate Some were involved in MFC trades, some were going home to other states, some have only come good after moving clubs, some have had setbacks, some are yet to fulfill their potential The but the bigger question is would they have improved our list significantly? Even if we landed 2 or 3 of them? I think so. Putting the mess of Brody Grundy aside, we've been poor at trading in since Steven May came on board 6 years ago. Are we on the nose?- Trade Targets
Nice get, Dazz- How typically Melbourne Brodie Grundy
Lethal on the TV just said he'd have Grundy in his team before Max. He's chanelling picket fence! Whoda thunk it!- How typically Melbourne Brodie Grundy
Oh, Picket... you shouldn't be hitting the scotch this late on a school night! 🥃🥃🥃- Dusty Martin
