  1. FWIW, Port Adelaide are a game ahead of us. So they'd have to lose at least one match and we'd have to win both to finish ahead of them.
  2. The post-match narrative would have been very different if Salem had kicked that goal, or if Petracca's goal hadn't been disallowed. Cracks would have been papered over.
  3. Favourite comment of bullies/racists when called out ... "can't you take a joke?". Like others, I've been on the receiving end of that more than once ...
  4. Zeibell is a shadow of his former self.
  5. Essendon and Swans taking control ...
  6. Just switched over ... Channel 31 (SBS) is currently showing "The Man with a pen@s on his Arm", followed by "1,000 vagin%s". In case anyone is looking for other viewing options.
  7. I like Moore. Seems like an intelligent, articulate, personable bloke. God only knows how he deals with the filth faithful. He's at the wrong club.
  8. I never understand why some commentators refer to certain players by both names (Christian/surname), as if they have a hyphenated name. e.g. Isaac Smith ... there is only one Smith on the ground. Bobby Hill's another. Taylor Adams. And Hoskin Elliott ... oops, that is a hyphenated surname!! It's usually players with surname-like Christian names, especially the Bulldogs' Baileys (x3) - Smith/Williams/Dale. A few others ... Touk Miller, Conor Nash, Zac Bailey (what is it about Bailey?), Dyson Heppell. I think I have too much time on my hands.
  9. I hate the filth so much. I also hate Jee-long (clap/clap/clap). It's like choosing between contracting typhoid or cholera.
  10. I hated King as a player. And he changes his opinions more often than his underpants. Actually, well in excess of that number. (I'm making assumptions there.) But I actually have some respect for him. Stay with me on this one. He came to my son's Auskick session about 20 years ago. And he was really good with the kids. So, there's that.
  11. How is his attack on the ball? The good thing about JVR is that he loves the 'body on body clattering'. Some others just don't have it in their DNA. We need players who thrive on the contest.
  12. My thoughts ... Tommo in. Smith back to being sub. He's a classic impact player. (Ted Hopkins says hi!) Clarry in, of course. Harmes out. Not sure where this leaves Hibbo. Obviously if Bowey is injured, he (Hibbo) takes his place in the 22.
  13. Silvagni is nothing like Schache. He gives it his all. Having said that, it's a no from me.
  14. https://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/242052/on-this-day-losing-streak-end The Swans played Melbourne on the back of a 26 game losing streak in 1993. Demons couldn't lose? Guess what!!! Assume nothing.
  15. If Blitz-[censored] was playing we'd be hearing that he was a junior champion steeplechaser.
  16. If I hear any more about Gryan Myers and his goal assists I'll spew ... STFU morons.
  17. Butters/Rozee/Horne-Francis ... wow, what a midfield!! Wines (Brownlow medalist) doesn't even get a look in these days. The puddy tatts will need next level assistance from the umpires to win this.
  18. Agree ... the umpiring is disgraceful.
  19. Is it somewhat ironic that Caleb Daniel outmarked a player called Short?
  20. Nah, I think you mean Charlie Spargo's older (bigger) brother.
  21. I'm in the 'rest Jack Viney' camp. His body could do with a rest! His attack on the ball/opponent is the most relentness I've seen since Paul Kelly (Swans). I confess to not being a great fan of his in the past. I now hang my head in shame. His 2023 season has been brilliant. I suspect Norf will play 2 rucks ... Goldstein and Xerri presumably. So, I think we should play 2 rucks, to give Max something of a break during the match, and to give Grundy a run. I think that Sparrow is a good replacement for Viney. Not convinced about Dunstan. Perhaps Hibbo in for Jordon or Harmes or Woewodin? Harmes' first half v Richmond was terrible, but he did at least improve in the second half. Woewodin isn't getting many possessions, but I think that long term he will be fine. Poor old JJ ... I think his form has pretty much peaked. I don't think we can afford to rest May, but I agree that he is looking a bit tired/old. Excuse my ramblings, but it is past my usual bedtime.
