Trent Rivers - 100 Games!
- GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
- RIP Sam Landsberger
It was revealed on the news tonight that Sam was on his phone, talking to his mother, when he was hit. Too sad.- TRAINING: Thursday 22 August 2024
Thanks WCW ... π- PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood

Beyond sad. A young man gone way before his time .... so needless too. An example of how fragile life is.- Get to the βG!
I go to virtually every Demons match at the G. But going to filth matches absolutely does my head in ... the filth team, coach and supporters make me (figuratively speaking) sick. So I won't go to any of their matches ... grand finals included. (I've been to every MCC GF since 2004 but didn't go last year ... thankfully.) So, sorry to all, I won't be there. Please cheer a bit louder to cover my absence.- Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
Great player. Even better bloke. Agree with all the previous comments. ππ- POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Gold Coast
Here's my take on it. Well done boys ... good win. (But GC were very disappointing.) Viney (obviously) played a blinder. And it was good to get games into the young fellas, who all showed a bit. Plenty of work to do over summer. There has been quite a bit of talk about the Dees' dour game style. You know, why can't we play more attractive/ attacking football? I think that the game style should largely be determined by the players on the list. We don't have too many excellent ball users, and so risky kicks inevitably lead to turnovers. I think our current game style is probably appropriate until we get more excellent ball users, and this should be a focus for recruiting and development. I wonder if Windsor has any younger brothers!- Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
Not a chance.- NON-MFC: Round 23
I hate the filth so much. And their filthy supporters.- Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen

Let's try for Ugle-Hagen and/or Bont instead. I remember years ago posters would say ... let's offer next year's first pick ... and Bate and Dunn!! Not sure who the current versions of Bate and Dunn are!!- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide

I had fully intended to attend tonight's match. However, I am instead going to a celebration of life event for Bonnie the cat, who passed away a few days ago at the age of 18. Her owner (a Demons supporter) and her family are heartbroken. I hope that is a good enough excuse. C'mon Dees ... do it for Bonnie!- NON-MFC: Round 22
And piano accordian?- NON-MFC: Round 22

And cowbell.- Andrew Gaff
"Schools there are many ..." I went there too ... about 100 years ago. Didn't like it much.- Andrew Gaff
Indeed he did. His mother was a Demon, father a Tiger. FWIW my son + Andrew were friends at primary school. We (me + son) went to many matches at the G with Andrew, his younger brother + mother. He was quiet, nice boy. He was (and still is presumably) intelligent, so will no doubt have a successful post football career. I tend to agree (and would like to think) that the hit on Brayshaw was an ill timed whack. Cost him a premiership medal.- TRAINING: Monday 5th August 2024

- A hopeful look at 2025 (from a pessimist)
A pessimist is an optimist in possession of all the facts.- What was your excuse?
I was at the GWS match. I wasn't at the Bulldogs match cos I play pickleball on Friday nights. (Confession: I probably wouldn't have gone even if I wasn't; I hardly ever go to Doglands. Hate it.) I will probably go to the Port match.- PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
