Round 18 - Non MFC games
What a dilemna. I hate the filth so much. I hate Norf too, but not as much. It's probably preferable that Collingwood win to increase our chances of making the 8. But hoping the filth win? Probably a bridge too far !!

Will 12 be enough
The degree to which I hate the filth is very very large.

Goodwin Presser 18/7
Blah blah blah !!
-
Steven Silvagni and Carlton
I saw that interview. I thought that Silvagni was very unimpressive.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I hate him. Harvey that is.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
Which Selwood did Gibbs hit? Doesn't much matter. They should adopt rules like in ''poison ball' where you get a credit for catching the ball which is 'one in the bag'. So for example, he should get a one week credit for hitting one Selwood, which can be applied to offset part of a future suspension for hitting someone else. On that same theme, if he hits 2 Selwoods, the credit should be synergistic, so he would get a 3 week credit. Double credits for hitting filth players. Or their supporters. Or even their relatives. I clearly have too much time on my hands.

Angus Brayshaw
I've probably said it before (sorry, but I'm a senior) but one of his real weapons is his ability to kick with both feet. So he doesn't have to 'wheel around' on his preferred if the best/first option is to quickly kick with the non-preferred. It amazes me how many players can't kick with both feet. Jack Viney would be so much better if he could kick with his right foot. Same with Dom Tyson. Don't start me on Robbie Flower ...

Mr Jones
I agree. I think he'd be a better bet for a HBF than Lewis or Vince. With an occasional run on HFF. He can snag a pretty good goal. I admire Nate, but the fact that he won 3 B+F shows how bad MFC was. Look at the 2013 top 5 !! Eeeek Winner: Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy – Nathan Jones (365 votes) Second: Sid Anderson Memorial Trophy – Colin Garland (360) Third: Ron Barassi Snr Memorial Trophy – Dean Terlich (306) Fourth: Ivor Warne-Smith Memorial Trophy – Matt Jones (303) Fifth: Dick Taylor Memorial Trophy – Colin Sylvia (288) I think he suffered from being in such poor sides. He often tried to do to much. Still does on occasion. Hopefully he can still be a useful member of the team for 2018 and 2019. And possibly 2020 if he can slot into a suitable different role.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
I dont like WC ... but my hatred of the filth and filth supporters and even filth sympathisers is as pure as any hate can be. Go Eagles !!!

Andrew Gaff
Well written/thought out post Dee93. Not sure I agree though. WC is the perfect team for Gaff. Not sure that he'd be as good at MFC. Also he's a few years older than Hogan.

Round 17 Non MFC Games
You're being silly. 3 am would be more appropriate. It's excruciatingly bad. It's like watching a train wreck.

Changes vs Western Bulldogs
FWIW ... Shame about Stretch. Idealy need to replace him with someone with pace. JKH, not fast enough, no tricks. His papers are marked. Tyson, see JKH. Kent, needs a few more games under his belt. If he was fit he would definitely be in. Bugg. No thanks. Baker, a possibility. Hunt would be a definite inclusion if fit. I digress. There have been comments about ANB's goal kicking, and referencing his stats - 18.12? Damn lies and statistics. How many of his goals were junk time goals, and/or goals in thrashings, particularly when the game was already won? And how many of his points were momentum killers at crucial times?

Wayne Carey
Carey is a role model of the highest order ...

Changes vs Western Bulldogs
I somehow don't think Lewis factored in the possibility of giving away a free kick when deciding not to bother shepherding ....

Round 16 Non - MFC Games
I was torn listening to the Filth/Drug Cheats match. It's a bit like the quandary "would I rather contract typhoid or cholera?" On balance I was barracking for the drug cheats. Which simply confirmed the depth of my hatred for the filth.

Changes vs Western Bulldogs
Fritsch out? Are you on drugs? He is so good ... an absolute find. Agree with Smith + Lewis out. Agree with someone else's reference to ANB as a momentum killer. Dropped marks, turnovers, missed shots for goals at crucial times.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
