THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
I reckon we mostly pick players that barely anybody in this thread mentions. Most posters moan about the picks on draft night. Fast forward a couple of years and the majority of our picks turn out to be great players while almost all of the ones that the masses on here wanted based on phantom drafts and a brief highlight reel end up flopping. Rinse and repeat.

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
7 spots to fill as it stands. Sounds like one, two or three of Maynard, T Smith or Keilty will be upgraded.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Michael Gleeson reports that the final and biggest piece of the interconnected mega trade is expected to be completed in the next hour. The essence of the deal is: Jesse Hogan and Melbourne's fourth round pick will move to Fremantle for picks six and 23. Melbourne will trade pick six to the Suns for Steven May, Kade Kolodjashnij and a Suns fourth round pick.

No chance of 6 and 11. Zilch.

Looks like it's heading the way of; OUT: Hogan, Pick 46 or 54 IN: May, KK, Pick 19 Hogan a massive loss but the compensation seems somewhat fair.

Lachie Neale to be a lion within the hour as reported on the AFL website.

Hawthorn. We only need that pick when there is a McDonald available at that pick anyway ?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
So sounds like we will end up doing the following; OUT: Hogan, one of picks 46 or 54 IN: May, KK, one of picks 18, 23 or 30 Fingers crossed it's pick 54 out and pick 18 in.

Freo didn’t make the 8 year offer. Jesse’s management did. Freo knocked it back.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think the scenario has been that the Dees have requested pick 5 and 6 from Freo for Hogan. Freo have declined but said they will give us two first rounders if they can acquire them. Pending the deal for pick 5 from Brisbane to Freo for Neale, Freo will trade us pick 5 and pick 11 for Hogan and we will then trade pick 5 to GC for May and enter the draft in the first round at pick 11. GC will not accept pick 11 for May knowing full well their compo at the end of next year would be a much higher draft pick. Edit: Swapping or trading of later draft picks will also be involved for the Dees to acquire KK from the Suns.

Lukosius or Rankine. They're ahead of Adelaide in the draft now.

Changes v Eagles - Preliminary Final
Tyson and too hard to pick the other, they would be seriously unlucky. Probably one of Hannan, Spargo or Fritsch.

Hogan 2018 season over with foot injury
Starting a thread like this without posting a link or any confirmation from the club is quite pathetic (even if it turns out to be true).

Gawn walking laps in tracksuit, HS telling us not to panic...
Goodwin doesn't talk BS when it comes to the list and their health. He's playing on Sunday. Nothing to see here.

Changes vs Adelaide
Would be quite happy to see this weekend's team resembling the team that smashed the Crows round 10. OUT: JKH, Tyson IN: Vanders/Kent, T Smith JKH and Tyson just aren't up to AFL standard. We have enough mids and half forwards so no need to go like for like. T Smith as 3rd tall forward and providing relief ruck will allow T Mac to play solely as a forward. We had all of Hogan, T Mac and T Smith playing when we played the Crows last time. That seemed to work out alright for us. Changes from round 10 v Crows OUT: Viney (inj), Hibberd (inj), Lever (inj) Hannan (omitted) IN: Vanders/Kent, J Smith, Frost, Garlett

Vanders in for Hannan. JKH just did enough to earn him another game.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
What a stupid thread this is.
