Flag's still wide open.
No we haven't won the games we'd like which we did last year but we've been up to our necks against the oppositions we expect to meet in finals.
Biggest threats are Geelong, Pies and ... Swans who seem to be chugging along happily under the radar.
Reckon we'd have the rest covered.
2nd half fade outs are a huge concern though.
Last season we won something like 19 third qtrs.
This year however .... Dunno what the stats are.
Whether Burgess had them actually fitter or just believing they were actually fitter ... Again, dunno.
The players need a good dose of belief IMO.
When the game's there to be won at the moment we've gone gun shy.-

Cant drop both. Chandler deserves a full game. Bedford has good cameos but goes missing for long periods during games. Doesn’t do enough to usurp one of those two ATM.
Tomato, tomato 😐

Lynch Or Cameron wouldn't have made the difference, we continue to bomb it long & high & creating intercept marks for their defence, need to lower their eyes as many free players ignored.
Another good tall wouldn't make a difference?
We miss TMac badly.
When Brown takes a mark up the wing nothing happens till Gawn lopes into position along with 5 more opposition.-

I'm coming round to one of Spargo or ANB having to go back to Casey. I love what they bring when they are on but if they're not defending/pressuring inside our forward 50 or hitting the scoreboard they're not offering enough. Kozzie can't be dropped because he is a potential matchwinner, ANB and Spargo are not.
Fair call.
ANB and Spargo do some nice things but not often enough.
Wouldn't lose much giving Bedford and Chandler a run instead.
And open their eyes and hit up Kozzie more than they do.-

We need better forwards
Richmond win the flag then pick up Lynch.
Geelong win the flag then pick up Dangerfield and later Cameron.
Us ... The St.Kilda disguard who's running around in the 2s.
What's his name again?

Why didn’t Petracca take his shot in the last quarter? Directly in front 50m out? That was the moment to stand up.
Confidence shot to sheet.

Coaching fail imo and no blooding of "tier b" players during the season.
The cupboards are pretty bare.

I mean go back a few weeks ago when they best Essendon with that final play. Pendles knew what to do. If we somehow got the ball in the dying moments we would have just bombed it.
They got lucky with an umpire decision that game as well.
Young Essendon player that missed his late set shot should have got 50m penalty after collingwood kicked the ball away after he was awarded the free.
Which would have put him in the goal square. -

Melksham on Moore looked a big fail to me. Often Melk was where a KF should be positioned. And the players kicking inside 50 looked confused:- do I kick to an undersized forward, on a gun back, in the best position, or do I kick to someone near the boundary?
I'd like them to kick to someone who's open.
I don't care if it's Kozzie, who often gets ignored for the deep pocket option.-

We consistently miss too many easy frikn critical goals . Gawn missed 3 of them FFS. Can’t have any player doing that let alone the skipper. But trac missed two he normally would get,
Trac has kicked 16.27 this year.
He's a terrible kick for goal.
Has the yips something bad.-

The commentary at the ground was pretty ordinary too. Holding the ball is the most misunderstood rule in any sport.
That's because of the inconsistent umpiring of the rule.
JJs was a shocker for eg.

Yes, we did. Not because someone smiled inappropriately.

Is that right? In other words, how the F would you know how Christian Salem is feeling, thinking, invested or committed, just because he smiled. FMD, this presumptuous juvenile garbage drives me insane. Wake up.
Fork you fool.
We lost the game to poor kicking.

Our small forward pressure sucks...
Kossi MIA - 0 Tackles
Spargo - 1 Tackle
Time for Bedford and Chandler to get a run at it...
Kozzie and Spargo have been coached to think they're defenders 1st and foremost.
Gotta do something about the backline as well.
Got the pillars May, Lever and Petty but they need some help.
Salem ... Overrated.
Hunt ... Nothing.-

Right in front of us... Flat out throw
Umpire Findlay put whistle to mouth but decided not to blow... ffs
Blatant
Yeah, blatant throw.
But the umpiring is so bad these days I don't even get annoyed anymore.
Just part of the game these days.
All swings and roundabouts.
Win some, lose some yadda, yadda, yadda .....-

ignore guys running free on the inside.
This also does my head in.
Blokes open running through the middle of the ground but no, ignore them and go down the line to congestion.
Cause, you know .... Defensive option even when attacking.

Is anyone going to call out gawn and his attracious kicking? I know we all love max but he is our captain and he is letting us down in front of goal.
I know what he did last year but he is costing us in front of goal and at the wrong times.
It's getting frustrating
I knew his 1st miss was gonna start an avalanche of misses.
Just a shocker.-
