I'd much rather have watched Collingwood go out in straight sets.
You know, the mob who cheered when Brayshaw got stretchered off.
The grubs who mugged Lingers.
Their "nice guy" captain who gave Trac a rib massage with his knee.
The thugs who bashed Nathan Jones old man. -

All this pearl clutching.
The players want atmosphere, I try to give it to them.
We don't cheer enough and we don't boo enough IMO.
Theatre goers many of you.
I'm tipping Adelaide supporters weren't just booing Quaynor.
They we're booing the collingwood football club for taking out their best player not only for that game but the whole finals series.
For name calling ..... Give me a break.
It's the filth were talking about here.
With a collection of the dirtiest grubs in the game in their side.
Maynard, Moore, Cox.
All dogs, celebrated by their toothless moronic hordes. -

The most electric single moment I've seen watching live.
In the pocket on the fence with my family.
The whole joint lit up as soon as the Geelong player fell over.
By the time Hannan kicked he was right in front of us.
The primal roar from the 90K pro Demon crowd still gives me chills.
And the look on my kids faces .......
Jordan Lewis reckons it was the loudest noise he's heard playing football. -

Make no mistake.
85 thousand people roaring for a dog taking a speccy is something to behold.
Had to be there I guess.
Was better than anything the AFL have come up with since. -

I remember attending a final during the 80s at the MCG and half time a bloke come out with 3-4 dogs and some frisbees.
Tell ya what watching those mutts take off and launch for those frisbees 6-7ft in the air was highly entertaining.
Crowd loved it.
Also always enjoyed the kicking competitions where the superboots from the local leagues spent the break dropping 65m torps. -

I would be amazed if teams in the window could afford the third or fourth highest paid player in the league who's more likely than less likely to be declining and is a horrendous kick of the football.
Which is also why I doubt he'll have the longevity of Dangerfield, Pendlebury or Sidebottom.

Why not do as was done last time and choose a current assistant coach who has worked with two of the most successful coaches in the past 15 years in Clarkson and Fagan?
Cameron Bruce has all the qualifications to take the team forward - originally from Melbourne's heartland, schooled in Melbourne and played 234 AFL games at Melbourne and Hawthorn.
I discount Clarkson to some extent.
Yes he hit the drafting jackpot with Franklin, Roughy etc and then the Hawks and Cats dominance was during GC and GWS coming into the league diluting the draft for other clubs.
Both sides then cherry picked their needs for players wanting to play for flags.
We don't wanna be down the bottom again when/if Tassie comes in.

Is that you Caro?
Rumour and innuendo.
Players at yarrawonga had no problem and won a flag and runner-up the next year.
This year he took his team in Geelong from bottom to elimination final.
Results.
