Geez, North aside we must have the least intimidating home ground support of all the Melbourne based sides.
Don't kid yourself.
For a side sitting on top the ladder.
We're hopeless.
Gawny wants to win a flag in front of the fans at the 'G'.
And we're not turning up to see it.
We'll just kick back and watch from home thanks Max.
Little wonder our reputation is like it is.-

Forward line's struggling.
The midfield's struggling.
And the backline's struggling.
Certainly not ideal.

Our back line has been masking how badly we have been going up the ground for most of the year.
As it did for much of last year.

Hmnnn ... We need to play better than this.

Big game.
Sat'day night free to air.
Time to show the comp why we're a game clear on top.
May all our kicks be straight.-

Went to Victoria Park once in the 80's.
Real eye opener for a kid raised at the MCG and VFL Park.
Watched the Pies overrun our 27pt 3qtr time lead in the last.
Daicos kicking a couple including a trade mark from the boundary.
Holy sheet, I thought the Zulus were comin'.
Also went to Windy Hill around the same time.
The game Jacko punched on with Andrews and threw the can into the crowd.
That was pretty wild too 😂

In 2018 when Zach Tuohy goaled after the siren to sink us, a Collingwood-supporting mate sent me a text saying "Gee, that must sting!" complete with laughing emoji.
I didn't bite at the time, but took great delight in sending him the exact same text when Dom Sheed kicked the winning goal to beat the Magpies in that year's Grand Final. He didn't take it well.
I got 2 messages after that game telling me how pathetic we are.
Both from Collingwood supporters.

He is Buddy so of course he will get off!
Yeah nah
You say that as if the MRP has displayed any sort of consistency when it involves high profile players including Franklin in the past.
Short memory.-

I'm not sure we've ever been a loud and delirious crowd.
Whereas I agree totally.
We're a far more reserved supporter base than most IMO.-

The footage I saw seemed to be an open hand but regardless, it was intentional and high.
MMA Hall of Famer Bas Rutten was famous for using "Palm Strikes" on opponents.
Just as devastating without the risk of broken hands using a closed fist.
All the open hand talk is irrelevant .... Or should be.

Tell ya what.
With the stupid new stand/dissent rules and lucky dip tribunal system, if the Demons were still dwelling in the cellar I'd be done with footy.
The AFL is forking up the game as fast as they can.

Well .... According to history it won't matter who's in the 8.
The last 2 times Melbourne went 9-0 they won the flag.

There is a genuine risk we could lose players like Bedford, Tomlinson, Daw, Laurie etc... if we are not careful. They all look easily AFL standard each week and should be playing somewhere, maybe in a team that is developing or rebuilding. Dunstan and Weideman are curious to me - why they both chose to come/stay at the Dees when they are genuine starters in other teams.
Watching the 1st episode of the AFL draft show on Netflix Dunstan wasn't getting a real lot of interest from other clubs.
One was flirting with the idea until we offered him the gig.
He took it.
Weid mighta just backed himself to get infront of Tmac and play with his mates in a premiership side.
Seems his teammates love him as they tend to get around him when he plays well.
Reckon they want him there.

The thing about this Suns rebuild that they've finally gotten right is the people they've brought from other clubs. Players like Chole and Casboult aren't superstars but they're honest players who set standards and have A-grade qualities in certain areas.
Players like Gary Ablett were never what this side needed.
Steven Mays interview On the Couch this week was telling IMO.
Come down to us from GC thinking his skin folds were ok at the start of pre-season.
Got a shock to find out how far behind he was when he got here.
Trained hard to catch up before the start of the season and then got injured 2nd game in. -

Sorry Sam.
Doomed to failure.
Our supporter base is far too reserved.
It's one thing to be quiet.
Another to not even show up.
But that's how we roll.
