  1. Because of the constant speculation of his impending exit, we cantsay what he has and hasnt done or said inside the club but from the outside it is dividing supporters (this thread) i would be rather discussing other topics personally, and i would say it isnt allowing the group to galvanize as it could if everybody was openly committed, even if Scully is and it just isnt penned atm Speculation we may loose one of our best assets is damaging
  2. I wont argue that Blease hasnt made up some ground, and his last to games could be better than Scullys depending on what you are judging it one, Blease - more disposals, and two more marks, only 1 tackle, my main criticism of Blease has been this at VFL and AFL level, dont think he runs as hard both ways, cant remember him busting a gut running towards defence, can always find the pace running forward, and only 1 tackle, Blease runs to far sometimes imo, when he gets this balance right he will be exceptional, but run to far and kicked it over our forwards heads when they were leading Scully - contested possession has been said was 6, 6 tackles, disposal wasnt always great, handballs far to often but doesnt have the space Blease does playing far more inside football, 19 possessions isnt terrible but we expect a bit more, Trengove had 17 and nobody thinks he didnt put in yesterday So yeah Blease may be a bit ahead due to pure number of possessions but Scully was better in other areas, Im also not forgetting last years form, Blease has started well but to say he has surpassed somebody by playing loose outside roles is a bit rich, Scully in his first year was better for sure, atm he doesnt seem quite right Next topic drafting Alot of people saying that Scully was the wrong choice at 1 and we should have taken Martin, what about Trengove, and Fyfe I would guess quite a few people would take Fyfe at 1 if asked, while others Martin, some Trengove and some still Scully all in quite comparable amounts, all while Scully is the only one of these kids to come off a serious injury this year, and who was the CLEAR number 1 on draft day So who was the clear and correct choice 2 years out???? nobody yet so how can anyone be so wrong?
  3. But the look on his face wasnt right and he only got 19 touches..... very nice stats for a days work, efficiency is always his major issue,, i dont know what it was at yesterday?
  4. His hands are amazing, and his kicking is of a very small sample atm, quite possibly could have improved
  5. What a beast, loved his work today, only early and against some weak forwards but couldnt have done much more today imo
  6. Just shows how biased your opinionof this topic is RF, Bleases last couple of games have been great but to say he has eclipsed Scully in this short period is laughable.....
  7. IM not worried at all, i think the exposure of EW will be significant with us, increasing there turnover even further, quite a few people have already used their services just days after the signing, not to mention neutral supporters, cna see them making alot of money out of this deal
  8. equal with who? the scum?
  9. Thats is F-ing amazing then
  10. Jack Watts in new energy watch add... is pretty bad, looks like they are back and front sponsor though
  11. 6 $$$ Million over how long??? surley not per year? over 3?
  12. I wasnt thinking about trading Petterd but earlier today i thought to myself, i think SEN said the word Lecras.... and i thought how many genuinely good medium forwards are there in the league?? Lecras,Stevie J, Didak.. any others? O'Keefe? And we have Bate, Dunn, Petterd, Jurrah, Howe To many imo and none in the top echelon, but we wouldnt get much value from Dunn and Bate Onto Petterd, would have some value, has obvious talents, what would i want?? some involvement in the GWS's mini draft at pick 1 or 2, i know he wont do the deal on his own but thats something i would take in return
  13. I dont think our midfield can afford to lose another experienced bigger body, even if jones doesnt tackle as much as he should.... i agree though he isnt untouchable... If you could get a fit Gumbleton it may be justified, this is what i doubt
  14. If its irrelevant why post the same weight twice arguing when others "only" suggest he is 3 kilo's heavier? was the point Anyway, Gumbleton has alot of potential, isnt "rag dolled" particularly, with some continued football (probably the least likely scenario) he would build some form and extra strength, it would be difficult down this without regular football and with constant injuries I would never give up Jones, as has been mention by Robbie nobody wants Bate, he struggles for us to start with..... Gumbleton when fit and living up to potential is easily worth Jones, trouble is he has been in the system for many years and played 22 games, been injured and hasnt delivered upon this talent and promise, Essendon wont give him away, he is worth to much if he happens to come good.... Basically all the reasons most trades dont happen
  15. Link, we have provided links which state he is 97Kg? Is this link from 09?
  16. This is exactly my thoughts robbie... Even Lyon, i remember when the Bailey saga began he said he did and wouldnt want to be involved with any future coaching decisions, then he is the first person who is called and has no choice with Jimmy being ill imo Also the direction we are going is "experienced" etc which is the complete opposite direction to last time, im not saying its wrong but from the outside it is like they are excluding a while heap of candidates without even see what the can offer This was wrong, so the opposite of this is right type thought process
  17. http://www.essendonfc.com.au/team/list.asp 97 it seems If thats what you implied then you should have said it!!!! Also i never said he was not underweight, you implied that he couldnt put on muscle not that he was 5 or so KG's short, considering he is perrenially injured which will hurt his ability to do so
  18. 97KG wile being perennially injured
  19. Disagree, Eade fell short because his list didnt have the talent, Lyon did have it and fell just short of winning 2 premierships I dont know what would have happened if Eade had one of the top 2 teams... Lyon did and lost to the best team in the league twice and drew once in 3 grandfinals
  20. Born Drouin, no? i understand the arguement but we wont be able to offer 1.5 million reasons, not even half that
  21. Born and bred Geelong, like asking Moloney to leave for Carlton
  22. People also rate his inside 50's, score assists, and hard ball gets which seem very high this year, alot more than sheer disposals, also as is said tackling seems up
  23. Dee17 is referring to Ross Lyons "Mark Thomson" style get out clause relating to his final contract year, if anyone hasnt read the full article yet, so no suing going on
