Weiderman with a contented mark from O-Mac. Kicks the goal, his second. 8.5.53 to 0.3.3.
-
We are giving the Blues all the opportunities to kick a goal. We are turning over the ball a lot in our favourite half back line. But the Blues are terrible and we are defending well - just not doing well out of defence. They still haven't scored a goal though.
-
Quick break for the Blues and sounded like a goal, however, our defensive man, S. Frost big tackle to save the goal. And then screws up his kick across half back, straight to the opposition. At least he will fit in perfectly.

Read this post carefully. Weiderman has collided with McGuiness in our forward line. McGuiness has a suspected broken arm. The Weid is fine. Blues got a free kick, stuffed it and fended off Weiderman high. Weid got a free, kicked it inside to Morris and Morris kicked a goal to take us to a 7 goal lead.

Thanks BJDee. Glad to see. Would love to see him back there in the AFL. Cannot imagine it is a good day for talls or defenders.

Casey Scorpions @CaseyScorpions 46s46 seconds ago QT Stats Disposals - Newton 13, Dunn 8, Neal-Bullen 7. Goals - Briggs 2, Grimes, King, Weideman 1.
-
bjDee looks like Frost is playing forward. Are you able to confirm please?
-
Jackson Briggs with a free kick from 20m out. From memory didnt he kick a few last week as the 23rd man? Kicks his 2nd goal.
-
Has become much more congested and a lot of players around the ball. O-Mac doing a couple of nice things in terms of pressure. Trenners seems to be around the pack at all times. Newton doing well, some good 1%'s from Grimes.
-
King to ANB to Weiderman to Goal. 4.1.
-
Terlich is being tagged. I repeat, Terlich is being tagged (by Mark Wiley).
-
Briggs soccers a goal through in the goal square (think it was a long Newton kick). So 3.1. to 0.0. Trenners kicked the point.
-
Grimes kicked the second goal from a free kick.
-
Clearance from Newton to a King mark to a goal.

On days like this it seems like everyone will be giving different votes. 6. Viney - when it was there to be won, he won it for us. Then went off and still was one of our leading ball getters. 5. Gawn - dominated. Thought Currie did well, but Gawn just was dominant around the ground. 4. Harmes - 14 to begin with and 3 goals. Finished with 26 and had 4 inside 50's. Sneaky rising star nom this week. 3. N Jones - picked up where Viney left off. Great to see him dominate a game again. 2. Hunt - his speed is seriously good. He is looking better and better as the year is going on. 1. Bugg - 13 contensted possessions, lead these and top 2 for tackles and top for clearances. He is making this position his own.

Where is Michie? Is he tagging?

Love to see Frost play back this week and see how he goes. If you havent read the de Stoop article on our future v St Kilda's it is worth a read and suggests that we dont have another A grader key back (yeah we know). So if we can develop Frost in this role it is very important. My only thought is that we were planning Frost to play forward in the pre-season because a) we hadn't drafted Weiderman and Hulett yet and b) we didnt know Watts was going to improve as he has. That gives us a lot of key forwards with Dawes and Pedo and not much up back. Matty Jones must be really sore. No way he comes straight back into the 1's with 3 weeks off, so will put more pressure on his contract now as he has to break back in. With Jones, Salem, Brayshaw out and Michie, Stretch, and Oliver getting the call up to the 1's, it makes our 2's engine room look really light. Interesting to see what ANB and Trenners do this week considering that the Blues don't have an established midfield group. I know our boys are young, but the 2 of them just seem so much older than they are. Without the others (Michie etc) around the pack, will be nice to see Trenners, ANB and Grimes really play huge games.

Assuming Oliver is trying to read the words. It's ok buddy, you wont need them again...
-
Michie and Strech had 10 possession last quarters. Oliver had 9 and you have to assume that Trenners had at least 8. The one that stands out there is Stretch as the conditions aren't conducive to his style of play, so good work getting his hands on it. Final Stats Disposals - Michie 35, Stretch 34, Oliver 29, Trengove 27, White 24, Neal-Bullen 24, Grimes 23 3Qtr Time Stats Disposals - Michie 25, Stretch 24, Oliver 20 HT Stats Disposals - Michie 17, Stretch 16, White 14, Oliver 14 QT Stats Disposals - Michie 11, White 10, Munro, Trengove, Oliver 8.

Newton with the goal. Kommer gave away the 50

Good to see that there are some boys there. Gawn is a regular at games (good team man). Stretch seems to have just exploded since quarter time . Interesting to see that ANB isn't in the big disposal getters at 3 quarter time. We all just assumed he was going to have another big match and get the call up. With Hunt the likely out due to "management" (otherwise known as a quite game), Stretch is a like for like. Haven't heard Matt Jones name in the commentary as yet. Oliver seems like he comes back in as well.

That BRFE! Loving the commentary from the team at demonland. How is the Spence v Jamar battle going?

6 - Hogan - do I need to give a reason. 5 - Viney - his 3rd term should have turned the game if the others came along. 4 - Jones - I love that when we play bad he just comes out and leads by example. 3 - Watts - presented well - where has his marking gone though. 2 - Tyson - rounding out a really good centre clearance team. 1 - Gawn - was below his par but above par for any other ruck. My worry with the votes is that our centre 4 and our 2 tall forwards are coming up in the votes again and again. I don't think we are getting enough from the others around the ground.
-
6 - Viney - just dominated at ground level and 3rd efforts amazing. 5 - Gawn - our second most important player. 4 - Tyson - best game at the Dee's and set the tone early. 3 - Vince - missed you. 2 - Garlett - missed you more. 1 - Watts - you are a star in the making.

My bad. They were discussing as if he wanted to come home to Vic. Saying he wants to come to Melbourne. Sorry!
