My vote goes with Johnson (just not good!) but reckon Bruce and Bate will be out with injury.....Morton is a monty to replace Bruce. Gysberts has been banging the door down and deserves a game, is an insider player with clean hands which will be ideal for Darwin.....this kid will be a jet!! They could go with Miller for the other spot................would agree that he is on his last chance but still deserves a look in, he works his a$$ off and may work well with Watts, alternating between CHF and FF as the lead up player. Miller could also play as back up ruckman for Jamar. A more possible inclusion may well be one of Jetta or Wonna.....the dew/humidity might make it difficult for talls, plus the drive for one of these two inclusions to rip it up while in Darwin. Would be great to see Wonna back but it would be pretty even between Wonna and Jetta as to who came in as form at Casey as been fairly similar. Bennell still has a fair bit to prove in my opinion (X-Factor is there no doubt) and he could be rotated (rather than dropped as such - form is scratchy but passable) for one of Jetta or Wonna if they were both to come in, but not sure they will 'rotate' him for this game as he probably doesn't warrant that just yet. So, OUT - Bate, Bruce (ijnured), Johnson (DROPPED!) IN - Morton, Gysberts, Jetta or Wonna....maybe Miller?! I hope Wonna but feel it may be Jetta, Wonna just not ready for a long trip considering he is returning from a long time on the sidelines. Could probably do without the plane trips as recovery.

Agree, was the most frustrating part of the day. Reckon it went hand in hand with the majority of the team just not working hard enough on the day. (HUGE apologies to Junior Mac and some others).

Col is a Jet when he turns it on....sadly that is not often enough. The difference between his best and his worst is far too large. He didnt have a limited pre-season as advised above.....he missed the first few games AFTER his pre-season and his first game back was testament to what he is capable of. There was a bit more of this against Brisbane and from there it has tailed off. I heard last week that he may have carried am injury into the dogs game, regardless players carry injuries all the time. Don't think he will be dropped yet, but another week or two like the last 2-3 weeks would see him given a spell. As far as no replacements go, if Gysberts doesn't get a shot by then there is no reason he couldn't replace Sylvia for a spell. Pull your finger out Col!!

Can anyone tell me why Sam Blease is not playing at Casey one's or two's this week?
-
Will be happy to settle for "Multiple Premiership Player"!!! Cmon Dees...big win against the toasters tomorrow.
-
Thanks for that....went over to the dark side to check out there diatribes....what a sad state it must be!! One of them tried to use the 'tank' as a reason we got him....nope, afraid to say it all comes back again to the Toiges sh!thouse recruiting....Cmon down Jordan McMahon!!
-
Is anyone aware of what is wrong with Sam Blease and why is not included at Casey one's or two's this week? Same for Stef Martin but more concerned with Blease.
-
We all know that Col Sylvia has a fair bit of go in him.....hopefully he can dish out the punishment to Kennedy...BUT in a fair way....some more difficult games on the horizon and can't afford to have Col sitting on the sidelines because of some silly retribution. In any case, it's the AFL that deserve a square up on this one........3 weeks should've been the minimum for Kennedy!

Better news than JW's inclusion....this is AWESOME!! Chip is a star!
-
One more thing I will add to this is that I have met Jack on a few occasions now and each and everytime he goes out of his way to speak to all fans, especially the kids who are always all over him. For me, this is part of his make up and goes hand in hand with what you would expect his attitude to be and how he would approach most area's of life including his footy. He WILL be a star!!
-
Well put Pringle......far too many people here who think they know it all!!
-
Flower Power......I would suggest to you that this site is exactly designed to ask these kind of questions. Far too many people who think they know more than they do will be quick to shoot you down for bringing it up but if they have an issue with your thread I dont understand why they bother replying if it bothers them so much. This is a rumor that I haven't heard too much about and am happy for the question to be asked.....as some suggest here that Parkins thoughts are redundant, so to are many of their opinions. All these questions and rumors will be answered from tomorrow onwards.....no one will know for another 12-24 mths yet on the Watts verdict, talent, attitude etc etc. I for one hope that none of it has any credence and that he will be the dominant player we all hope him to be

Can we start a new post now that JACK WATTS topic has been going since April. Praise be that he is in....here's hoping he has a huge game and continues from there. Dunn a bit unlucky but he is depth now, not the front line talent, it's what we all should want! Go forth and Deestroy!!
-
CONFIRMED PEOPLE!!! In- WATTS Out - DUNN
-
Half an hour before this thread goes into High Wattage!!! Get him in Bails!

Mate....great post until the end there. My mum is going through the same battle as Jimma and he provides such inspiration for her as he does so many others.....I was really enjoying reading this until that final part, but I assume you did not mean it to come out as this, more a general sweeping comment. Hopefully my mum or Jim don't read this one!

So what happens in the next three quarters??!
-
Bennell indeed has the X-Factor!
-
We saw this for the most part last week.....think it was in the 3rd qtr. Grimes streamed out of defence, out to JT, out to Skull....I think it ALMOST ended with a Danny H mark, just spilled a wet ball!! Bring it!
-
Mate....yeah fair cop....maybe I should be a little more specific in my post. I would only be too happy to see Danny get some good game time. It's my main argument that Jack Watts should be played now....to get some continuity with the side and develop together. I was more generalising on how others may get a game/a shot at the ones. Always easy to go with last in/last out...but again, it was no way meant a slight on the kid because I love how he goes about it and in crap conditions last week, he was super! A 2 week allowance in any circumstance is hard to judge, but if he were to come out with donuts this week, he would be straight in line as an exclusion for one of the other kids I mentioned. I for one hope this is not the case and kicks a bag!! So, I might catch you at Casey one day soon!! Cheers Mordja!!
-
Not sure about not being quick enough.....agree though that it would not be a straight swap in that Jetta plays Bartrams role. Bennell was given a go at that role last year and looks better free across half forward. I think we have some great defenders, Garland & Chip that can play small and tall and could take most of the small forwards on for pace any day of the week, the only team that could come unstuck could be Carlton.....but they can pick on a needs basis when this scenario eventuates.
-
Mordja....how much do you want to put up mate? I'll give you some points in - being that I reside in Pakenham, put that together and work out if I get to many Casey games!!!!! I know exactly what Danny is capable of and am very happy that he has been given his chance....to hammer home my point I thought Danny was one of our better players in a pre-season game against the very same West Coast (the side was horrible that day really!) In case you were not there, that game was held at CASEY! My point was to seek out possible exclusions for possible inclusions, it was far from a go at Danny at all. I actually DIDNT include him as an exclusion in my list until I see more of him this week...IN THE SENIOR SIDE....NOT CASEY! Hell, I go to so many Casey games that Brad Miller starts to look like Wayne Carey!
-
I am sure I may get a knock for this but as much heart as Bartram shows, he has limitations. I'd hope that Jetta would come in for him at some stage and that Bennell is kept in this side if he continues to progress. IMO - Bartram, Dunn and PJ are three in the gun for making way. I wont add Danny Hughes to this as yet until I see him this week. Not that it will work out like this but I see Morton as a replacement for Dunn, Wonna or Jetta for Bartram, Watts for PJ. Damn this is all too hard......the talent is amazing people and JUST SO EXCITING!!! Players not in the seniors that from previous glimpses or potential would seem likely to get a shot - Watts, Wonna, Jurrah, Gysberts, Tapscott, Blease, J MacDonald, Jetta....where do they all fit. Again IMO, Bartram, Dunn and PJ are out for any of the above - Hughes possibly (potential is a dangerous word I know...who goes out from here. I am sure injuries etc will take care of a lot of these guessing games but 2 years ago wouldn't have seen a thread with this dilemma!
-
Cant wait for Wonna to get back but it wont be after just one game at Casey and Bennell while up and down continues to do some good things....Jamie will need to improve this week and the next even further if he is not to loose his spot to Wonna....it would be great to see them all play in Darwin. Carrrlton think they have a dynamic trio......wait til Jurrah, Wonna, Flash, Jamie and Jetta get into the one side!! Only problem with this scenario is that Wonna, Jetta and Jamie may all be going for the one spot!! Danny Hughes will be good and is worthy to be held for at least another week to see how he fares in hopefully a dry game with lots of ball coming from the midfield. The pain is still there from the Dogs...hope the players feel it and smack West Coast!!
-
15 pages this thread is now up to!! 3 1/2 hours it will soon finish and we will all know...hopefully be excited by Watts inclusion!! So the consensus seems to be that Dunn out for Watts as PJ stays due to the twin ruck threat of the toasters....anyone think that Spencer may be a chance to come in for PJ if this is the case? Very raw still big Jake but was dominant last week at Casey, not sure that PJ has done anything at all to warrant a continued spot especially as others step it up and would deserve their chance!
