Arrogant Swans Fans
Simple comeback to those types is how do they feel about a team from another city thay deserted them. They hate the concept and it just makes them angrier. It can also apply to smartarse lions supporters when appropriate. It doesnt matter for suns or gws as those teams are artifical constructs. If youve ever spent considerable time in sydney you'll realize how irrelevant the club is in the greater scheme up there.

Melbourne and Matthews
The lethal hit on bruns may have been personal surrounding possible issues about a 3rd party who was playing for geelong or living there at the time. Might be more complex than a simple hit behind play. One wonders why lethal refuses to speak to bruns which may be a clue. But who would know apart from both parties.

surprised at odds
I like ypur thinking. I do this. Its called therapy. Wayne carey said this week mfc will be scary in coming years. I suscribe to that theory also and belive dees will win big agaonst a team that hasn't kicked more than 70ish points for mearly 2 months. Oliver gawn brayshaw Tyson hogan etc won't allow it. Hun5s forst big run will be the crowd favourite and welcome back.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Good predictions but I don't agree on cats/hawks and we will know more after Saturday, but I see the Hawks as greatly underrated, and the opposite for the Cats. Both forms lines have plusses and minuses but Hawks have the defence, attack and midfield to beat the cats.

Run home to Finals - 2018
And the Eagles game is at the new Optus Stadium which is the exact dimensions as the G, so no surprises like the old WA ground which was narrow. Should be helpful

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 20
The wind at ground level was incredible during the game, esp at the city end. It was a wonder Fritschs last kick even made a score from that distance. Ball drop to foot was very tricky and mistakes were always going to happen. I can't believe the negativity of some on Dees skills in this post - esp about fritsch.

Losing Jack Viney
I disagree based on how viney handled his injury last year and this year. He lacks emotional intelligence to understand true leadership. But this will come with maturity i hope. The next captain is a tricky one for the club in off season and a test for goodwin. (And todd)

Alex Neal-Bullen
Lets not forget his excellent gut run from centre to 25 m to receive petraccas handball for sealer. Foresight and composure. No one got near him.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Its called relevancy deprivation for Boomer. Trying to build any profile when not a serious journalist (I'm looking at you Kane Cornes) is the textbook approach to build post game career. Too many ex players by far. Ex champ Jimmy Bartel is the worst. No idea on interviewing and getting info we don't already know. Just a head on the screen with nothing better to offer now retired.

Losing Jack Viney
The club has a top notch medical team. Evidence - the management of Tom MacDonald - ( and Tmacs approach as well helped) This was never Viney's decision to make - but he thinks it is - and therein lies the issue.

Losing Jack Viney
This isn't the club''s fault is my info. Jack is learning the hard way about professionalism possibly.

Losing Jack Viney
I'm with you BBP. Lever was/is huge.

Losing Jack Viney
So why not reported to staff 4 weeks ago by him. when first became aware of it. Unbelievable! Won't be back this year and a chance for someone else for rest of season. I am comfortable having watched live on Saturday the way Oliver, Brayshaw, Gawn, Hogan.... stepped up that leadership is not an issue. He will be a loss though.

Ladder predictor
You mean like the tiges did last year? Whats the saying about rules and exceptions?

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
I would be mortified if the Lever-less defence also had Lewis out. Maturity and a cool head needed and given his limitations sometimes Lewis does that role very well. Same for Bernie. They will help the transition with Oscar this year and one or both should be mandatory at present. Lever BTW seems to becoming a Ch 7 darling and was great with Daisy on their Sunday show today. Future skipper for sure.
