mjt I have no idea why you think people on Demonland cannot handle the truth. If we could not handle the truth we would have all stopped following the Dees years ago. The truth has been ugly for most of the last 48 years but here we still are.

Bh, Macca , Sue and anyone I have forgotten. I just see this as a sorry mess. I wish to god the thing would be bought to an end ASAP. It hangs over my enjoyment of the 2013 pre season ( which is usually the best time of my year in recent times ) Believe me I have no desire to see anyone associated with the MFC suffer any penalty flowing from this sorry affair. I just cannot be sanctimonious about the activities of the MFC in 2009. Almost everything about the Bailey era leaves me with a feeling of loss. IMO it will go down as the low point in the history of 150 years of the MFC. In 2009 I wanted to win ever game possible and then work out the draft opportunities. That was my opinion then and it is now and it will be until I die. Anything else is poor judgement IMO. Can it please be over very soon?

Macca I don't disagree with you. But you cannot be exempt from a crime because other people have committed the same crime. I have said umpteen times that we we were one of many who used the system in similar ways. I do not want the MFC penalised and we should fight it to the bitter end. but please we did not want to win that Richmond match and it does not matter that it is only one game during 2009 IMO. PS I wish to God I had not gone to that 2009 game. I could then be so self righteous But I saw what I saw!

BH I have always believed we were guilty. Now that does not mean we were any different to a number of other clubs. The MFC admitting it is another matter and I don't believe we should because we used the system the same as other clubs. But we tanked in the Richmond game no doubt in my mind.

We are never going to agree on this subject dc IMO we handled this poorly from the time we did it. I don't care how well other clubs did it. again IMO we did a poor job of it. I also don't agree that if the AFL fine the Dees that compels them to investigate other clubs. They simply say " we investigated previously and that is it. They don't have to be fair. Just look at the " Mitfod " saga

I am a bears fan dc so I am sulking! lived for a short while in Chicago back in the early eighties. Good place to live if you must live in a big US city. It was winter though and god it gets cold. Great game on TV but crap at the game.

IMHO Biffen we are going to be issued with steep fines. Who pays is another matter.

You have my vote angrydee. IMO if we don't go to court it means we are guilty as charged. In that case heads should roll. Not because we did anything different to other clubs but because we were so poor at the doing it.

Mate I am one of your exceptions. I hated losing to Richmond that day on the day and have ever since. It will IMO go down as the worse period in the history of the MFC.

I am astounded at the number of Dees supporters who have Magpies for partners. I have been telling my wife for 40 years that I lifted her to a much better plane in life. Then she laughs and asks when we last one a game! I think I got a good one No tatts All he teeth ( well almost at this age ) And has not been to Jail. I think I will keep her.

At the risk of stating the obvious " the boys are training the house down" Now there is something new for an off season. It has been heard a few times over the years. I will reserve my judgement until about 4.30 pm 31st March 2013
