PSD I agree with some of your comments in this thread but I think the one above is a large over statement of the actual situation.In 2014 I can see little evidence that " on our day we can beat all but the hawks" Can you show me the proof of that seeing as how we have won four games.

This year I only drink it after wins it was getting too expensive.In spite of what dc says it has little to do with the single malt. Just a realistic approach I believe.

Just checked my emails since Friday and there was one from the MFC. It offered Corporate packages to the GF, talk about the excitement etc. of the big game. Bought a smile to my face. Wonder what that feels like.

A small amount! I have to hang onto something dc. At the start of 2014 I never thought we would be about to do a Port 2013. I dreamt of 5 -6 wins and that is still a slim chance. I believe 2015 will see another modest gain with 2016 showing us around ninth. I keep telling myself that we are starting from a VFL status team in 2012-13. This year we have shown at least we are competitive most weeks. That looks to be not much but is a hell of a gain on the Neeld years.

Well we currently have about eight weeks that we all know the result well in advance dc Seriously though I find the season too long 18 Matches + finals a year would fine in my view. For the bottom six sides the season goes on and on for no apparent reason

I seriously doubt it in my lifetime Bbo and I suspect yours as well. The gap is a gulf to those two sides

Mate I lost my daughter to the Bombers 20 years ago for the very reasons you are listing. However IMO It will make little difference if we win one, two or no more games in the final analysis for 2014. The only thing that will get children to the MFC is winning more than we lose and playing finals the rest makes no difference

Don't agree dc The majority of our supporters are so beaten down by eight years of uncompetitive crap and have languished at the bottom so long that we accept our lot. Do we have a hide as thick as a Rhino? NO Just a beaten mental attitude, it is now water off a duck's back.

That covers it stuie Demon supporters constantly over rate their players. The results show how good our list is at present. Someone said earlier we have been very unlucky this year. That fits in the same area, luck has little to do with the fact we will finish in the bottom three or four. Lack of ability is 95% of the reason.

Are you prepared PSD? We have a very ordinary list that at best is the third or fourth worst team in the competition. The difference this year between last and fourth last will probably be percentage. We have risen to competitive from VFL standard in 2014. That is about all we could have hoped for in 2014. Hopefully with a couple back from injury and a few new additions we can win eight games and this conversation will not happen in 2015. However it is 2014 and our lot is the last few spots.

There is a lot to fix dee- luded I agree.This is just a subject discussed in a week when there is not much to talk about. All my knowledge on logo's says you keep it simple. Our current logo fails that test. Just way too busy for me.

Surely the only really important valid point is are we good enough to avoid last place?The next few weeks will determine how good a large number of our list really are. Sadly I don't think much of them. But we will soon see if they are better than I think.

Well my saturday improved on a great start. Went to see Uni Backs today, they won their eleventh game from thirteen starts. Sit on top of the ladder , this is what following a good side is like Great ! Wonder if it will ever happen at the G? Well a dream at the end of a great day is ok I guess
