Having just read through this thread I am surprised and it takes a lot to surprise me these days were the MFC is concerned. Jones has had a reasonable year as the captain of the worst side in the competition. We are a side that had four wins and finished second last. we only missed last becuase we had a couple of percentage points better the Saints. I dont remember Jones getting a best on ground nomination in any of the games this year. He had some good games but also had some ordinary games. He stands out at the MFC because he surrounded by a large number of poor footballers that does not make A Class just makes him the best of a bad lot. The simple fact is that he is not in the AA 40 because he is not in the top 40 players.

I heard on midday news Gia saving he was starting his coaching career at the Dogs next year.Acknowledged we would probably need to move elsewhere in the future but for the next couple of years will be at the Dogs.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no change for me still happening on a regular basis However if this is the only thing I had to whine about concerning the MFC I would be a very happy boy. Don't worry about it I will survive this small problem.

I had an interesting phone call this morning. Melbourne United Team rang me to ask if I was going to pay my membership for this season. When I said No that I have never been a member before they said but you were a member last year. To which I answered that I was a member of the TIGERS NBL team but as that entity no longer existed I could no longer be a member. And I had no intention of joining a new team, the Tigers no longer existed so my interest in the NBL had been extinguished. After a little bit of light banter the person admitted this was a common story. It will be interesting to see how this re branding of the Tigers goes. I suspect that they will struggle I have been a member/ supporter for 30 years but I have little interest. It ain't the Tigers!
