Unfortunately I have not had a $ million year off and a two year contract extension. It is costing me money. Having written that I think I do need counselling!

Off tomorrow dc I agree the next ten days could be done in three. A few things will happen today and then nothing for a week. Glad to be in the USA and only get the results in ten days time.

I share your feelings Bossdog I used to think that Aussie Rules was way better at the game now I think it is better on TV as you do not see as much of the rolling malls and because you only see a small part of the ground so almost never see half the ground with no one in it or 100 players coming on and off the ground all day. Visually it is now crap IMO.

Unfortunately DF there is little footage of him. In those days the VFL only had two games a week on TV and as we were crap we did not get too many game televised or recorded. I went week after week just to see him. Everything you hear is correct. If he played with a good side his reputation would be way higher, Reputations are solidified in finals and Grand finals. IF he had played with Hawthorn or Carlton at the time he would have won a norm Smith I have no doubt. A bit of my youth died yesterday.

I wonder what today will bring. With luck the end of Mr Hird as anything at the EFC. But alas I fear we have not heard the last of him. Seems determined to continue down his delusional path of I am the only one in the band in step.

Due to simple fact that we have chosen so poorly when drafting young players I now have little interest in what number is our first pick and who are the likely players available. I have a lot more interest in the experienced players we trade into the club. At least with this group I have some idea of their ability and how it might impact our performance on the field next year. Drafting kids at 17 or 18 years of age is like picking tattslotto numbers. who knows how they will handle senior football.
