It looks like a system dreamt up by a few mates standing around the Barbie at 10Pm with bellies full of Beer.

That being the case dc it suggests the rest of the day will be crap.

Yes but by saying where is the evidence that he doesn't you are implying he does. I have no idea if he takes advice or not I just get the feeling he is single minded about how he wants the team to play. I think he is trying to make the players fit the plan which I see is not working. If he got a game plan that enabled the players to play to their strengths we might have more success. But who knows I just Know we are not playing like a side that can play finals.

    Still a waste of $100k.

What a waste of $100k , these are the same people that tell the players you will have to take a pay cut. Beggars belief.

So which board member is in your family deanox? Why is your case proved if I don't apply. Quite happy to say I don't have the necessary experience. But I believe a lot of potential board members have been talked out of applying to keep things in house. The simple fact is a large number of boards of the MFC have been seriously in affective over half a century. I am not sure don't rock the boat has worked for the MFC.

Who was the rocket scientist who decided that the grass was a good idea and how much did it cost. Do they really think any Geelong or Richmond supporter gives a stuff? I know a few Richmond people and they are laughing themselves silly.

Or there are not enough who think they have a snow flake in hell chance of changing anything when they are out numbered 7 to 1. The MFC has for most of the last 30 years has been run by conservative don't rock the boat groups. Result nil. The only time I can remember members and board members got fired was at the time of the amalgmation vote. The rest of the time we are just [censored] who hardly even ask a question of the board at GM time.

I think it falls into that category of " felt like a good at the time" DJ.
  10. One of the most irrelevant items on the GF day programme. 16 of the 18 teams are on holidays with 8 teams into their 4 week of holidays. Probably leaves about 3- 4 players who are still fit.

We have not had a member contestant vote in 15 years. Now remind me how that 15 years has played out! Oh that's right we made a brief finals appearance in one year and rest we have been irrelevant to the competition.

    Where's the evidence he does?

After I have had a working vaccine shot I agree but I feel it will be 2022 at the earliest.

At the very best he is a second rounder.

Here we are straight from the MFC web site Rennick joins the Board with more than 25-years’ experience in the legal and property industries. He is currently a Partner and Global Board member of Pinsent Masons. Prior to that, he was Head of Australia for Pinsent Masons, CEO of an Australian law firm and a Director of an ASX-listed property development company. His responsibilities encompass leadership, people and client strategies and management. Rennick’s areas of expertise include master-planned community projects, property development, corporate, commercial and retail real estate.

An extremely good question! So we have the normal keep the board members in house. Two members retiring and two only applications so no need for us members to vote. Has been this way for at least the last 15 years. So good ship MFC slowly ploughs on.

One of the mysters of the human race!

They cannot work out how many players teams at senior level are allowed yet. I think the reserves is running a bad second. Why you would want to start a competition with teams flying around the country in a virus affected year of 2021 is absolutely beyond me.
  19. Me neither and just when we needed at the end of the season zero from two games against worse sides than us.
  20. Granted but at the end of the day kicking goals is what wins games. And when you lose by one or two goals and your kpf kicks none it is not a good look. What is the major requirement of a kpf? IMO to kick goals. The good ones do and you then win more than you lose .
  21. Sadly Jessie is a troubled soul. I have a feeling he will remain at Freo and be delisted at the end of 2021. Like a lot who cannot handle the attention that the top level brings.

You are not alone, IMO you need to start with quality then the nurture part is not as hard.

Not so much now but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Media loves a disaster story and we have given them lots over the years. Funny because when I see a headline about us I immediately think oh what's wrong now!
  24. Yes he is vital but how much of that is because there is no one else? As I have said I just don't see him as the no.1 banana.

    Amen to that AF.
