I have heard nothing from the MFC for 10 days. Anyone heard any news?

We don't robbiefrom13 What i do know is he has shown ability now for 7 years and some games he is BOG. However he has teased us for years with a few good games and a lot of very ordinary ones. If 2013 is not a substantial improvement then the questions have to be asked. 2013 is his eighth year if it has not happened by then it never will at the MFC IMO.

I agree with you monoccular A few days back I wrote "Under the new free agency rules I find it hard to believe that CS will be at the MFC in 2014. If he has a good year in 2013 the offers will come in from the other clubs who see they can get a good player for free. If he has his usual year under the new FD they will not want to offer a contract at the same amount as he currently gets. He will thIen seek another club who again can get him for nothing besides his payments. IMO the only way CS will be at the Dees in 2014 is if the team improves considerably and he wants to stay and enjoy the possibility of finals in 2014."

I think you can put more than 50 cents on it DA. I have said it previously I think he will be elsewhere in 2014

IMO If the salary cap disappears it will be the clubs with the finiancial might that will get all the cream. The MFC is in the bottom third on a finiancial basis. We would simply be unable to get good players the top half dozen clubs would simly out bid us. IMO without a salary cap the MFC is in serious danger.

I don't think there was an open session today. Web site yesterday was saying next open session is next wednesday 21st.

I have a feeling we might be seeing the first act in the collaspe of the AFL Salary cap rules. If someone takes the AFL to court on restraint of trade it will collapse. In the medium term this would make it very difficult for clubs like the MFC to improve or in the long term survive. The strong clubs will dominate and the MFC, North, Dogs etc might as well join the VFL. We will have the English soccer situation were only 5 -6 teams with all the money have any chance of winning the flag. I hope it does not happen because there would be only big problems for the MFC.

The Age is now suggesting there is a second player with deals outside the salary cap at the Crows. Oh Joy!

Finishing effectively last with one real win suggests at least a third of the list were not good enough. But you are correct 1/3 is a large number of changes.
