Adelaide's run and spread, plus superior ball use killed us tonight. Not suprised by the loss. Vince continually playing undisciplined football may well cost him another contract. Hogan, Gawn seemed better for the run, but only O Mac was an effective tall on the night. Lewis provided good leadership and had a solid game, he is far from a nearly finished player in my eyes. Hope there are a few big in's next week, we are gunna need em.

Anzac Eve game now surely has to be a lock. Both clubs pushing hard for it. AFL & TV must now see the huge $$$ and publicity last night bought to the code. Sitting in the MCC on level 4 and I was shocked that it was PACKED, in my 50+ years of going to MFC home and away games I thought the night was immense, well done to both clubs. Light up the G Is special as well. Something that's cannot be done on the Anzac Day game. Also I don't see why there isn't an Anzac Day game played in Perth. Because of the time difference it wouldn't clash for TV coverage with the game at the G. Alternate WC & Freo playing a team from NSW, QLand or SA. Poor souls miss out on this kinda hype. (Derbies excluded)

Yes we need another key defender. It's a must get for season 2018. We especially need to stop playing our 2nd best KPF in the ruck as often as we have this season. Garlett has improved out of sight by putting team first and continually using his pace to put enourmous forward pressure on when we are not in possession in our forward 50 which was often lacking last season. Leadership, I thought Watts has shown it in the 4 games so far this season and gets little credit for it. My only disappointment was in the 2nd Q not giving off to Hannah for the shot on goal that he took kicking around his body. We cannot have quarters like the 3rd and seriously challenge for finals. Another game we should have won but managed to lose. i hope Pedo and Brayshaw have good games for Casey as we are running out of options at selection.

FWIW, I walked passed Hogan leaving the ground and he looked as ashen faced as me. I am sure he is fully aware of what his undisipled act has cost us. Not cigarette ash btw.

Great post. Sums up how I feel about him and Trengove. MFC under Neeld were career killers. I do believe that's Grimes was given every chance under the new administration, but either he was to damaged by the past or the changing pace of the game was the last straw for him. While many might disagree Trengove deserves the same chance and one more season will not affect list management for 2017. Thanks Jack, I hope you will still follow the Dee's and you have a very successful life in whatever the future holds for you.

Agree with this totally. I was at the game and i didn't feel at all apart of it at all. Melbourne players in different jumpers. The Dogs supporters were there in numbers and the atmosphere was palpable for them. Sure they are also into the AFL GF so their excitement is understandable. How many more Doggies supporters would have been there but were still in or on the way back from Sydney? Time for the Melbourne Scorpions who play at Casey fields at the very least. Gutted at the pathetic third quarter lack of effort. Bring on the delisting and 2017

Doggies supporters have done it much harder than us in the last fifty years. We know what their pain feels like and also what they would be feeling now. Wouldn't think very many MFC supporters would be unhappy with the result. The AFL's first round pick test tube babies can suffer some pain before their multiple flags. I think Scully adds greatly to many MFC supporters dislike of them. Go Doggies!!!
