Hasn't seen enough of it in the first two games to showcase his talent, but he's been thrown in the deep end, to put it mildly. I'd prefer to see him have a few weeks in the magoos against the bigger bodies to find his feet. Showed signs during the NAB Cup that he has the skills and composure of the elite players, but you have to get your hands on the footy first. It will take him sometime to adjust to this level, but he'll get there if developed correctly...they best not stuff this one up as well..

Couldn't see a thread that grouped stories emerging of ex players looking to help out with the club's current plight. Gerard Healy just revealed that Peter Moore has been on the phone to Greg Healy, offering whatever assistance he can. This after the Ox has put his hand up as well. Of course, there is the argument that what the club needs is "non-Melbourne" people, but personally I think it can only be a good thing when former greats want to offer their help. Just to have these guys around the place and getting in the ear of those who are struggling for confidence is a big plus.

They have quality on every line as well, and players like Mayne and Mzungu have gone up a level or two, but your point is valid. They are not like a Collingwood or a Hawthorn brimming with stars. There's a lesson for those who constantly bemoan our draft failures. If you have players who respect, understand and execute their role you can beat anyone.
