Meh, people are entitled to that opinion . I supported them when they dropped down to third tier so I'm not about to complain over getting to now watch them compete for European titles ever year. Unfortunately in the modern game you need money to be successful, pending on your definition of success. Whilst I enjoyed the title, I arguably got more pleasure this season watching United's fall from "grace" The title win last season was something very special though. I think many found BR's tactics both in that game and at Palace to be perplexing. Perhaps showing signing of his inexperience at the pointy end. Admirable effort from your mob though. I don't hate Liverpool like others do, possibly because I just really like the city and the people. Have been there a couple of times. Anyhow, back on topic.

As a City fan (since the early 90s so save the wisecracks ), I'm quite thankful they didn't.
-
I would tend to agree. I'm open to the idea, but my preference would be for the one logo.
-
I keep seeing this idea floated, and I'm not entirely against it, but are there other examples of this in the league to point towards? The current emblem is a stale corporate nightmare to my eyes, but I can see it being viewed as suitable for letterheads. I just question the merit in having two logos.
-
I would hazard a guess that if they change it, it will be on the back of the majority of feedback in the survey being less than positive. If that is the case, the people will have spoken.

lol..the toffee lady eh? I've not seen or heard of this toffee lady but I'm sure she's a ripper. I'll grant you United, the biggest club in the world, using the Red Devils with some of their branding, but there are numerous clubs that would have no such example. Indeed I can only find two EPL logos with the nickname of the team in it - Stoke and Hull. The AFL is quite different in the centrality and relevance of its monikers.
-
Monikers don't work the same way in the Prem as they do in the AFL. They are merely colloquial nicknames: "Toffees", "Potters", "Gunners". In the AFL they are an integral part of the club's identity and brand. You don't have a Toffees mascot running around pre-game at Goodison. I don't think the logo necessarily has to have "Demons" on it, but 13 of the current AFL logos have done it that way, so it's hardly out of the oridnary. Having the "Dees" is a horrible idea though. Would be the same as having "Pies" on the Collingwood logo.
-
Spot on. It is a big game, always will be, and I love the build up to it. Moreso this year with it looking like a real contest. I have some very nervous Pies mates texting me. Many consider this rivalry to be long dead, but there's life in the old girl yet, and the next instalment could be almost as good as the original.
-
Not your typing hand, thank god. (couldn't resist)
-
Can't wait to see what they come up with. PJ has kicked goals at every turn so far, so I expect this to be no different.
-
There was an eery familiarity to this post. I love what Grimes brings to the club off field. He's the consummate professional in that regard. On field, his weaknesses are still ever present. He is capable of performing well but the consistency is a long way off. I hope he bounces back next week
-
Props to Hinkley as well. Was full of praise for the opposition in his post match presser. Class act.
-
I don't understand the thinking of backing Grimes without question but dismissing the notion of someone like Blease being able to make a claim for a spot. Grimes hasn't done enough over the journey to warrant that. His good games are several apart.

I was staggered at the talk of top four for Richmond this year. Never rated them at any stage. They peaked last year and got found out at the first hurdle in the finals, but convinced themselves their list just needed a top up. Their delusion was rampant and widespread and it has cost them. Time to start over.
-
Also went onto the Chad at times but he was lethargic, timid and second to the ball all day so it was hard to tell what he meant to be doing. When he did find himself in space, half the time he turned it over. He usually has one of those badly timed turnovers but today he had several. Worth noting that Dunn also did a fantastic job on Schulz. He is going from strength to strength.
-
titan - Jetta had the job on Wjngard, and won the battle convincingly.
-
I particularly enjoyed the 1 tackle he laid. I hypothesised in the game thread that he was NQR. He wasn't just poor, he was awful all day. Perhaps the travel didn't agree with him.
-
Jonesy apparently a victim of his own standards judging by some votes. Led the disposals and the clearances. In the top 6 on the ground I would've thought.
-
He's 25 years old ffs. We're not talking about someone learning the game. These are arguably his best years. He does it on a weekly basis. Terrible decisions. Terrible execution. He and Terlich are momentum killers and good sides don't carry players like that. I don't know what to do with him. He's captain and he isn't being dropped. We just have to live with it for the time being.
-
6. Tyson 5. Dunn 4. N Jones 3. Cross 2. Pedersen 1. Jetta Pretty good spread of contributors.
-
It's almost funny now. Every side that loses or almost loses to us goes into mini crisis mode. [censored] the lot of them I say. If they don't want to give respect, we will just have force it out of them.
-
Disappointing end. The fittest side in the comp was always favourite to run it out better but with the break we should've been able to match it with them. A missed opportunity but still a fantastic effort on the whole against the top side. Dunn, Jetta and Pedo have been a revelation, but we face the awkward reality of one of our captains not being up to this level.
-
Clawed back some respect in this game. Bit by bit.

Comically bad game from Grimes.
