  1. You get that positive rubbish out of here. Can't you understand we are to have a perpetually negative mindset, year after year? Can't you understand that Dawes is to be met with nothing but ridicule for saying things like this? Geeze man, get up to speed.
  2. Some of you doom and gloomers seriously need to get a [censored] grip.
  3. I can understand that view. I get the sense of urgency with FA looming. I just don't think that needs to translate into panic. The potential impact of talented youngsters shouldn't be readily dismissed. Wines at Port. Miles at Richmond. Significant impacts, both. I saw a lot of improvements in 2014. We continue on that path, we'll be okay.
  4. Usually on your page mate but I can't understand this level of pessimism. It isn't nearly as bad as this picture. I'll take the draftees developing together at the same time and actually having a decent tilt at a flag in a few years rather than a quick fix which would see us reach the lofty heights of mid table. The players don't remain dormant, so nor does the team. They get another year's development into them. And they are top end talents.
  5. We finish bottom two and Roos will have failed, thus far. I don't think we will. We convert all those half chances into wins in the first half of the season and this would be a different discussion. Aim should be out of the bottom four. Anything less will be a disappointment for mine. My tip for who we finish above: Saints, Dogs, Carlton, GWS
  6. In terms of how we will be placed next season, we may still struggle, but it's not the same squad. We've picked up two players who are best 22 and add a new dimension to the side in their own right. We also see another year's development placed into the youngsters who are trending towards lifting another gear very soon - Viney, Kent etc. I still see getting out of the bottom four as a reasonable expectation and pass mark. Maybe it's the delusional Melbourne supporter in me, but I'm genuinely excited at the prospect of taking picks 2 and 3 into the draft. With those two picks we have the potential to assemble a core group of youngsters consisting of Viney ©, Tyson (VC), Hogan, Salem, Toumpas, Petracca, Brayshaw, Kennedy-Harris, Kent, Stretch and Michie. If we do things right this time, we can become a real force to be reckoned with.
  7. If it's for picks 2 & 3, give me the empty bottles. I'll be turning them into molotov cocktails.
  8. Roll out the red and blue carpet. Prince has arrived.
  9. "Piece of [censored]" does him too much justice. Good riddance.
  10. Hopefully Petracca and Brayshaw. It may not get dd36 jizzing on his cat, but it'll come close.
  11. Someone who has this as his first ever post? Nah, seems legit.
  12. Deadset, if we can't back ourselves to develop the 2nd and 3rd best talent in the country, we need to toss it in right now. Are we the new Melbourne or not? Giving up both of those picks for one player who turns 27 next season is madness. Absolute madness.
  13. B is insanity. He's 27 next year ffs.
  14. Like a previous poster said, Roos has stated he wouldn't give up Picks 2 & 3 for Danger so I would've thought it's doubtful he'll be doing it for JPK.
  15. At this stage, I'd be happy with this. Taking 2 & 3 into the draft is far from a disastrous result, that is if we want a team that has even a faint hope of competing with the likes of GWS in a few years time. But we do need another established mid for the now, and hopefully 23 can net us one.
  16. I agree with all that, but the last line is key. GNF is deemed as someone with authority when it comes to rumours. That is what could change, for me at least. The riddles, as silly as they are, have made the trade period a bit more enjoyable.
  17. Really? How's his strike rate going? Called Paul Roos earlier than most...and... Sorry but if none of what he has alluded to happens, his "reliable source" tag goes up in smoke. GNF could be anyone, including some kid having a lend and a laugh. But at least we got some riddles.
  18. I would love to lay some blame on Richmond, but you can't blame them for wanting to put him through his paces. They needed to be 100% certain. If anything, it is the club that saw fit to let him do a medical. They took on the risk.
  19. I think you need to read the last few pages mate.
  20. Am keeping the faith. He will give himself every chance.
  21. I hate indulging your contributions, but sometimes you make it too hard to resist. You predicted nothing in that post. You just repeated alot of the hesitations others had but added one of your typical gross exagerrations: "he will request a trade back to Brisbane at the end of EVERY SEASON". No doubt this is what attracted criticism, because it's completely idiotic. You then have the hide to label others "morons" for speculating on Beams coming to the club. Grow up for heaven's sake.
  22. Bombers are interested. Even came up with their new marketing slogan: "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough"
  23. "Great" is debateable, but the last few days have been memorable. Remembered as when GNF aka 'the riddler' crashed land with tales of not little birds and electric clocks, the Mitch Clark thread breaking page records, and the Dangerfield thread turning fishy. Actually, the last one was a definite low point. Hopefully the week ends on a high note.
  24. I feel like we're just watching the wheels go round and round.
  25. Big bad wolf please. Stick him at fullback to blow away incoming balls/opponents. (GNF, get your hand off it )
