  1. hahahaha they now have Shane Mumford as the ruckman! What a [censored] up
  2. ? Really? Wont a 3rd rounder now be something like pick 65?
  3. Having said that, what small speedy defenders are on other lists that would get a game on ours? Harbrow is one I can think of - not many others. I think Garland is good/fast enough to cover the dangerous ones.
  4. I'd agree actually. edit: if he wasn't already signed for 2011
  5. I believe Carlton was merely an example used to highlight our lack of a Jarrod Harbrow-type.
  6. Some of the players follow Jeff White and he is a ruck coach at GC17! Call the papers!
  7. Very handy depth though - it's rare for a team to get through the season without any key injuries. Petterd would fill in nicely for any of Jurrah, Watts or Bate if need be. Not that I'm writing him off, he may one day be better than at least 1 of those 3. Not yet.
  8. Don't take it out of context - it was a case of him being a more likely candidate than Bruce. Which is true. You'd usually keep the 200 gamer over a late pick from 2 years ago that has only played a few unspectacular games. (but if I had my way...)
  9. I'm happy with that approach, but I so dearly want to see him play on Saturday...
  10. haha but they'd love to have Gysberts and Lucas. The ultimate irony is that Gysberts is shaping up to be the ultimate clearance player - exactly what Brock was recruited to be for them.
  11. What were WE thinking as supporters?! The outrage from some people on this forum was palpable. I was in shock for a day or so, then couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
  12. Meesen and Newton are rookies. The only thing worth considering is that rookie selection this year and next will be for players of significantly less quality than other years gone by. Something to keep in mind - Newton & Meesen may not be automatic delistings.
  13. I wouldn't want to take McKenzie out of the midfield. Jetta could be the answer but I'm not sure about his pace either.
  14. Exactly. If Chippa left I'd be gutted. We'd really feel a loss like that.
  15. Really, when you look at who else we could lose, I'd be happy to lose Petterd over a lot of players. I'm not even sure if we'll find room for him in the forward line with Jurrah, Watts and Bate. We need small quick running players around them.
  16. Doubt it. Bell, Miller, PJ, McNamara. That's 4 already that would go before Bruce.
  17. Yep perfect. Glass looked like a spud on the weekend, groin soreness or not. Roughead torched him and he plays in gumboots compared to the way Watts will get around the ground. Couldn't think of a more perfect time for Jack to come in.
  18. I'd be surprised if media expectations or pressure are a deciding factor for bringing Watts in. It doesn't matter when he plays - the expectation and the focus will be there. I'd rather give Jack an opportunity to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and prove his doubters wrong. What better game to do that than against the Eagles? I don't necessarily expect him to do that, but I'd be backing our players rather than worrying about how bad it could all go.
  19. Yeah, King is a strange comparison. I think you'd be looking at someone like Stephen Hill at Freo
  20. Well, the mail was that Gysberts was held back by injury for most of last year too and still performed well enough to be on a lot of people's radars.
  21. Is that what we did? For certain? I've not heard it confirmed anywhere, but I've also not heard anyone mention an injury.
  22. Same. Hope the mail is right. Also Gysberts is very close.
  23. Morton will not come in this week. Not a chance.
