  1. wow looks like about 9 changes to our lineup
  2. that comment has no relationship to what I actually said
  3. It hasn't happened yet. Not even close. Like most level headed people said last week, while recognising our opponent on the day was pretty ordinary at best, it was just one game of football. I was very worried about the GWS game but I am still in shock that we went up there and put on a Neeld-esque performance. I just can;t believe I saw that same weak effort again with my own eyes. We haven't put together two wins on the trot for 3.5 years. That is an utter disgrace. Even if some miracle happens in Adelaide this week are we to expect them to come out and get flogged by the tigers the week after? I am sick to death of it. We are paying 7.25 this week FCS. How much longer must we endure having matches upcoming for which we have practically zero chance of winning? How many more years? We have supposedly the best coach in the game and a list that hes been fed high draft picks for NINE years, including EIGHT players from the top 5 of the draft (inc Hogan and Tyson) just in the course of 7 years! We should have built a premiership core with that advantage but alas, no, we have to look down the barrel of a bottom 4 finish YET AGAIN and suffer the pain and indignity of days like last Saturday. Meanwhile, the focus inevitably turns to the next trade/draft period and wonder how many years away is the dream of stringing two wins together. Grrrrr. Do you realise that in 2007, when we bombed out, sacked Daniher and began collecting picks for a rebuild, all of Hawthorn, Sydney and Geelong were up and about the top of the ladder. They have all stayed there in the 7 years since, despite having zero draft assistance (yeah OK Geelong might be done now after 3 flags). We have not moved an INCH, with all the players they can throw at us. What in the name of God is the fundamental difference between our dysfunctional club and the competition leaders? Why do we make sweeping changes to the list, coaching staff, admin, training venues etc etc etc and nothing even moves the needle. What is it going to take for us to put 22 players on a field that actually give a stuff about being out there? We've almost swapped the old 22 for an entirely new one and nothing has changed! I have just about had the sword, I tell you what, no supporter should have to endure this torture. /end rant
  4. Makes no difference what the changes are We conceded 14 of the last 15 goals against a below average side That's a message right in your face that you are nowhere near good enough It's going to shatter their confidence to smithereens And when the crows get away early the heads will dip Zero ticker at this club, another big belting coming up
  5. Hogan did too but nobody mentions that of course
  6. you will be the first one to knife him in the back when he has a bad one and we lose then you will focus on 2016 debutants and their superstar qualities, and how all our bad development is a thing of the past less backbone than a snake you've got
  7. Of course you do. On Demonland, the less games you have played the more of a superstar you are. If he follows suit, by the time he reaches 50 games he will have been involved in a lot of failures and pathetic losses and be held with the same contempt that most of his 'senior' teammates are.
  8. See I dispute this point - and it is not through the rearview mirror that I dispute it.. at half time I said to the people I was with that we were lucky GWS were such a bloody awful side, because we ourselves were playing bad footy and only through being out-carped by our opponent were we in front. I said if we were a decent team we would have been 10-12 goals up at half time. Of course GWS got their act together at half time and made our effort and talent look embarrassingly bad. My point was is that I didn't feel like we went to sleep at half time, but we never really turned up at all.
  9. Normally I would agree with you on the flighty, knee-jerk reactions but describing it simply as 'one loss' is underplaying things. GWS didn't turn up til half time. Had they been switched on at the start we would have lost by 100 points. It was every bit as bad as the Neeld years, which of course brings into question everything we thought we knew about the Roos 'revival'. Are you really so sure they played for the jumper? Looked to me like we lost every single contest because the other guy simply wanted it more.
  10. oh that's funny to you is it. Is that what gets you off in you are sad life. no I'm not joking you smarmy, snide pathetic loser. I along with 99% of people agreed that Dawes was an obvious in. Paul Roos agreed too. I thought that was the definition of being proven right in your weird little game. He then came in and played a stinker. In what way have I somehow lost some sort of battle because of that? So every time someone reckons someone should come in and that player doesn't perform, the poster who said he should come in is a mug is he. Get a LIFE mate, you are a LOSER
  11. Jones is ridiculously important to this side. If he stops performing we grind to a halt. A lot of taggers from every club would have loved seeing what GWS did to him today. Garland is a disgrace. He was great last week but quickly returned to his 2014 form, which consists of getting towelled up by his man and generally not giving a stuff. This is his 9th season FCS, there is no excuse for such inconsistency and generally weak effort. Dawes has just about lost me for good. He played pretty much as bad a game as he could possibly have played today. Keep your feet you imbecile. Roos is allegedly here to change the culture. Well, he was in charge today of about 17 blokes who flat out did not turn up for the game of football.
  12. where does this 'understanding' come from? If it's true it means that the front our club put up at the time was totally disingenuous, in fact, it means they downright lied when they issued a statement staying Clark had elected to leave. Why would they not make it clear that it was our decision to move him on, knowing that he would attract the massive negativity that he since has? They would be throwing him under the bus for no reason. It also doesn't make much sense in general, as surely we would be willing to take the risk on a genuine FF that we badly need
  13. very long bow there dc, you fabricated that comma
  14. win this week... next week Crows up there and then Richmond, both fixtures went in the win column for us last year, when we were an inferior team to what we are now 4-0 then Freo at the MCG can you imagine it? let me
  15. I think all the human excrement that surrounds you in that town of yours, is seeping through your pores and out onto your keyboard
  16. Here's why: This club has not won a flag for 51 years. We have not even played in the finals for 8 years. At various times in recent history our very existence has been in doubt. We have no respect. We both NEED and DESERVE some real success very soon. Now, it looks like PJ and Roos are making some ground at least to make us competitive again. Do you know what would be really, really handy right now? How about a coleman medal type full forward? Well, we had one. We traded a high draft pick and put a lot of money into one even though he battled to get on the park. When he really crashed out we stood by him and supported him. Then he turned around and royally screwed us. You can talk for 1000 years but nothing will change the fact that his stated reasoning for not coming back to the MFC is not fair nor reasonable. Nor does it even make any sense. If he had lined up for us this year, which was obviously the decent, honourable thing to do, we would absolutely be looking at finals. Getting Lumumba out of the mess took a lot of the sting out of it, but still, it was a dog act that has cost us dearly. There will be no construction of bridges from this poster.
  17. Just realised I watched it about 20 times before snapping out of it
  18. are you serious? I think it's awesome that fans who don't have a horse in the race still recognise a dog act when they see it, and want it known that type of behaviour should be reprimanded. It's taking a stand against something that's just plain wrong
  19. obviously the issue is not that he (allegedly) has depression but that he pulled a shifty move on our club and everybody knows it
