  1. Agree totally- Shifter Sheehan just stated on TAC at 1pm today that he will be a star and will feature him next week. He beat Vic Country coached by Gary Lyon yesterday..
  2. Well why is he part of our senior playing list shown on the MFC website,if indeed he cannot play.. Extract showing the above... 22Moloney, Brent1828628.01.84Rd 14 - 2003Geelong U18/Geelong1310312410Morton, Cale1928318.01.90Rd 1 - 2008Claremont54522329Newton, Michael1939127.04.87Rd 3 - 2007Murray U1822313015Petterd, Ricky1858424.07.88Rd 5 - 2007Broadbeach (QLD)635123727Rivers, Jared1929018.10.84Rd 19 - 2003North Adelaide (SA)9990431Scully, Tom1827715.05.912010 - Rd 1Dandenong Stingrays12123.
  3. Just been told that Jack Viney starred for SA kicking 3 goals and in hand beat Vic Metro by 19 points. SA wins by 19 p over Vic c in great game Ben Kennedy SA great with 5 g ; Viney also good,3 g ; Daniher 5 g for Vics Metro.Daniher is a 197 tall ,son of Anthony who played with the Swans & Essendon. I think he therefore is the brother of Darcy, current Essendon player.
  4. Excellent point- and furthermore they were bound by the AFL to pick up both Newton & Meeson, if no others took them.
  5. Agree with all you state- however I do think May & Darling will make it although they are only 190 cm tall.It will be interesting when & who pick them up.
  6. Most players that make it in the AA side go on to be star footballers. Furthermore, the two key forwards that made the list were May & Cook.Gorringe played in the ruck and changed in the forward line..
  7. Just look at the current talls that started as rookies- Ruckman in particular that have taken time to develop- Cox, Sandilands, Jamar and Jolly. All vying for AA honours as senior players. Does not say that any player will not make it,however,to be drafted is the start whether on a senior list (AA just showas you are a very good junior)or rookie list, just ask Jordam McKenzie.
  8. Like all human beings- some mature quicker than others- he may be alightly slower ,al be it he is only just turned 23. Not old for a tall player.
  9. Shocking bad luck ,especially when he was showing so much guts going for the ball,no talk by Palmer unfotunately.
  10. No stroke just correcting you-Bohden was head of fitness up to 2009 pre season- he still plays a very pivotal part in our fitness team.
  11. I agree = deserves another opportunity.
  12. Still drafted-- many have been great rookies.
  13. Jack Darling is another Butcher. Showed he was far better than most in the Under 16's and last year due to his matured body. He is 190 cms tall & well built now - but has not got great upside. IMO- will go around 10th pick. Will be another Daniel Rich IMO- ready for action straight away.At 190 cms tall- is he a pivotal forward?-- I don't think he can play in the AFL at 190 cms tall in such a key role as CHF or FF.. Again, I might be wrong but I do not think so. My top 3 so far are: Swallow Bennell Day Surprise pick could be --Daniel Gorringe.Another Mathew Watson.
  14. Panos was drafted by the Bulldogs - you goose
  15. Both have great potential- but still have to do it.Bate has up to this stage but is definately spasmodic. But still the best we have so far.Proof is in the pudding mate.
  16. Bate is our best forward apart from Green. Morton will become a good player. Neither will be superstars. But Blease and Tapscott have the ability to become SUPERSTARS.And remember I will be spot on with this. And I rate Sylvia when fit in our top 10.
  17. You will have to report on the islands later on- in themeantime we will play wellagainst the saints and deflate the Bombers wings.
  18. I had the same problems with the radio- thks for updates everyone
  19. Just namedhttp://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/97405/default.aspx The 2010 NAB AFL All-Australian team is as follows: Defenders: Ben Jacobs (VM), Matt Watson(VM), Dyson Heppell (VC), Shaun Atley (VC), Patrick McCarthy (SA), Brodie Smith (SA) Midfield: Jared Polec (SA), Daniel Gorringe (SA), Andrew Gaff (VM), Mitch Hallahan (VC), Anthony Miles (NSW/ACT), Tom Liberatore (VM) Forwards: Harley Bennell (WA), Lucas Cook (VC), Adam Treloar (VC), Jayden Pitt (VC), Steven May (NT), Josh Caddy (VM) Interchange: Sam Day (SA), Josh Bruce (NSW/ACT), Josh Green (Tas), Sam Darley (TAS) Coach: Robert Hyde (VC) Assistant coach: Matt Armstrong (Tas) Not surprised Jack Darling did not make it- but he will be up there when picks are taken. And Deeluded- May included.
  20. Martin, Tapscott, Blease do not play till 5.45 tonight in the 2nds.
  21. WYL will have to sign some up -re membership
  22. Jack will be keen to do well as he comes from this area and needs to do a good job. Casey should win easily with this team in..
  23. Name sakes -Tom Lynch do not seem related -one has long blondish hair the other red head- one is taller and better built- being the non Sainter. He could be a good get later in the draft. He shows definate promise.
  24. I didn't say we would get him, just said I'd like to get him.
  25. A superb article that even brought a tear to my eye. Just shows how lucky we are with the new board we have, along with Schwabby and C.C.
