  1. i think the exact opposite. IMO McDonald makes too many mistakes in pressure situations for him to be captain. But i'm not too fussed about it
  2. classic i think i'd be drawing wood too, but i don't think adelaide would let him go without a fight
  3. agreed everybody relax, most of this talk is all hearsay and speculation. Just be patient, good news will probably come
  4. Yeah maybe, he does some good stuff from time to time, but i think he struggles with consistency, it will be interesting next year to watch these types of players when the team is actually trying to win. Jury is still out on Pettard
  5. Valenit is a friend of mines good mate, and apparently he has offers from Sydney and North
  6. I'm sure collingwood supporters would say this as well. DAVEY>DAVIS
  7. what an idiot, the rest of his career is going to be tarnished. he is a great prospect though
  8. Just take twice as much as it says on the box
  9. Ive seen Morton and Watts do some good thins, (Watts mainly at casey) but all i have to go on is hearsay with Blease and Strauss.... Is Strauss actually that good?
  10. agreed, when he tackles ferociously the opposition feel it. but he doesn't put in enough, id give him another year. Just incase we get another Jolly situation
  11. Don't know if any of you remember, but i made a streaking run for this exact same bet. melbourne to finish higher than richmond, lets hope for our sakes it happens
  12. You're probably going to have to change your Log name too
  13. Taken from the age website "Brock McLean will part ways with Melbourne after requesting a trade to join another AFL club. McLean met with Demons officials on Monday to confirm his decision and the club have reached an in-principle agreement with Carlton for their first draft choice in this year's national draft. The Blues have agreed to trade pick No.11 for the midfielder, who has played 94 games since making his debut in 2004. It is the first official in-principle agreement in the lead-up to this year's trading period and is subject to the finalisation of paperwork during trade week, commencing on October 5. The 23-year-old will also have to complete a medical examination. "I have come to the decision that the best thing for my football career is to move on from Melbourne," McLean said in a statement. "While it has been an extremely tough decision as I have given the club my all, I am confident it is the right one for both parties." The Demons are disappointed to lose McLean, but say they are now in a strong position as they continue to rebuild their young list. "It is very disappointing to lose a player of Brock's calibre," Melbourne list management general manager Tim Harrington said. "Once Brock made this decision it was important that we secured a commensurate trade - this has been achieved. "We are now in a very strong position at the national draft with four selections inside the top 18, all before any other club's second selections have occurred." It will be the final uncompromised draft before the new Gold Coast club receives a host of exemptions ahead of their entry in the 2011 AFL season. While McLean was one of Melbourne's top players, he has suffered from off-field controversy. The Demons dumped him from their leadership group ahead of last season. In May, McLean said he was keen to take over from James McDonald as Melbourne captain."
  14. i dont understand, aren't all of these reviews just at the mfc website?
  15. Used to think he was a massive dud. But he convinced me otherwise this season. definitely one of this yrs biggest improvers
  16. I second this, with a vengeance.
  17. No it's voted by a board, including andrew dometrieu, james hird, gerard healey, bartlet and others
  18. plus one of them is mid 25ish the other is 18-19. you should see the before and after shots of fevola, he goes from jack watts size to his current, over about 6 yrs Probably not as big as moloney, but he will get there, give these 18 yr olds time
  19. i have a 92 melbourne jersey signed by Jim Stynes
  20. Yeah well said, i think the first half of the season we will have a couple of wins, then turn it on later in the season. Although i hope they come out of the blocks hard first game.... So far away... i already miss it
  21. You just tore juddy an absolute new one. Most of what you are saying i agree with. But i think you are reading a lot into it. Ok sure, he gouged/pressure pointed/ Bruce Lee cross-kicked Rischitelli, but at the same time it is just a little face jab. I mean do you think that deserves the same punishment that Buddy got for not doing much? The strange thing is that basically the way that it the tribunal is set up is that Barry Hall can king hit a guy, and knock him the F$%&* out, but Judd does (granted it's a repeated offense) a face grab, or whatever you like to call it and gets a quarter of what Hall got. I don't know, im so confused after all this speculation about tribunal stuff that i can't make decision about weather they are right or wrong. By the way, lying about that Campbell Brown thing is a weird one too. Because what would've happened if he did tell the truth?? Campbell Brown would've been hung out to dry over it, i can imagine people calling him a "dobber,". I think you (not you specifically) need to look at both sides before you keel-haul someone.
  22. How do you know that? that is so specific
  23. I agree, i think our defense is the strongest part of our game. At least, when we are healthy.
  24. Yeah i was a bit shocked when i heard that as well, i mean i like him as a player, but i don't think he is the best fit. And as they said on Classified, why would he want to go from a top 4 team to a team ranked 16. Seems out of place, but not calling Caro a liar, because her and Gary are the only reason i watch that show.
  25. i was at that game, i think i was about 8
