  1. So basically even money if you finish first, second or third. Obviously ignores interstate travel overlay.
  2. No idea what you were looking at Dazzle. One angle showed the ball miss his hand by a fair way.
  3. Fumbles and disposal errors the difference so far.
  4. Putrid start. Poor ball use into our F50. Kangaroos look better at the moment.
  5. Also, every team has their own what ifs. Like, I'm sure Port would be saying that about their loss to Collingwood.
  6. I think tomorrow is a crucial game. If we get over that I can feel something a little special building. We shouldn't fear anyone.
  7. I dunno, I think we've capitalised quite well on these opportunities last 2 years... We snuck into second last year taking our chance in the last 2 rounds and were sitting 3rd after Round 20 of 2021... so we've put the throttle down in these situations the last two years. Would be unreal if we do it again.
  8. Rugby audiences are actually way up vs 5 years ago… but the current Wallabies performance isn’t helping this year.
  9. Bledisloe Cup in lead up to a World Cup. Should be a decent crowd, too big for AAMI
  10. Do people forget Dunstan’s disposal? He’s an A grade butcher. Just because he’s got the ball on a string in the VFL doesn’t mean he’ll translate to AFL. Harmes has been out of form but has much more to offer the team if he plays well.
  11. I suspect they are trying to develop consistency across the board. So one straight swap is less disruptive than shuffling two players into new positions. Especially with Riv playing his current role so well.
  12. That wasn’t your argument. You’re changing the story to suit a flawed position. Also, the dynastic teams like the Hawks and Tigers win flags even when they don’t finish top. Tigers won all their flags from 3rd. It’s extremely hard, and not essential btw, to finish top every year. We’re right in the thick of it.
  13. Has definitely been the case today: reckon he’s been better in the previous few weeks
  14. I think part of the issue with Grundy, and what he has to get better at (same with Max) is not clogging up the space and changing the way the mids look to connect forward. Neither Max nor Brodie cause the defenders to separate, which makes it much easier to defend. How often have we seen Max or Brodie this year being kicked to as a stationary target with multiple tall defenders coming in to spoil, block or intercept mark? BBB may not be as mobile as he used to be and his goal tally might be modest the last few weeks, but I think it’s no accident that with him and Melksham in the team (and Trac forward) we’ve seen more pressure on opposition defenders as the forwards are moving. BBB is still our best tall forward (for now) by some way IMO. Brodie can still contribute forward this year - maybe even as third tall with JVR or TMac - but he needs to know enough to not disrupt the effectiveness of the forward line as a whole.
  15. I agree with this. I also think that he sometimes slows the play down by not taking the first option which may not impact the effectiveness of his next kick but does make our forward entries more congested.
  16. As good as Smith was when he came on, I think Tomlinson is a better matchup for Tex.
  17. Wow. What a great effort to claw back all the momentum in those last 20 minutes. So proud of the team despite some criticism during the game 😬
  18. Im not sure we’ve been dominant. Since halfway through the first quarter the game has been played in Brisbane’s forward half.
