What i couldnt understand was the amount of times key collingwood players were on there own, like Cloke and Davis. I wouldve moved frawley to cloke and tried bennell and bartram in tandem really close check on davis. wouldve probably tried something different up forward , swap things around green and watts, jurrah on a wing etc. With Colling wood i wouldve banged it long alot more, as they were just chopping off our hand passes.

On sports tonite last night they said that strong word is he has definately gone and has signed an agreement, they went on to say he couldnt get out of it if he wanted too. Has anyone aslo heard the rumour about his best mate Bastinac from Nth melb also signing, and they have signed for each other to get out of having to say i havent signed anything.(power of attorney) I would be devastated if Skull left as he is "THE" player we have been looking for all these years. He is a once in a generation player. Maybe all of us Melb supporters should stage a rally or fundraising event , getting media interest and putting pressure on Skull to sign. Something like the Bulldogs did to keep Chris Grant. Maybe get a 7 year old kid with Skulls number on his jumper to donate 20 cents as its all he has got.

Exactly!..what are we known for , whats our strength? We dont seem to have a style of play or strenght in any area. Not to be known a strong pressure team, is an indictment on itself! What we are known as, is a team that when the pressure is applied, can fold quite easily.

Im very calm. Im just saying we are not a good football side,injuries or not. There could be potential there with the right coaching and a bit of luck with injuries,but we havent played well all year,even early when we had most players available. Adelaide aside because we were stung by critisism badly that week. They just cant seem to find that killer instinct unless they are bagged and berated, and have something to prove. Its not good enough.....even the players themselves would say it

You cant use injuries as an excuse forever mate. In the West coast game we still had most of our good players on the park, but were still pathetic. Its all about structure and desire and commitment.

we are not better than many, thats what i mean....we are playing like a bottom 4 side. The guys ive mentioned should be better than that. Just dont work hard enough

Depends on structure, and passion and commitment. Probably not top 8 but 10th or 11th. We are playing at a level more like 15th or 16th

We still have good senior players in the side, Moloney,Sylvia,Jones,Green,Rivers,macdonald,Petterd,Bate. and some pretty good yound talent in Watts,Jurrah,Maric,Frawley,Gysberts,Mckenzie etc. We should still be doing alot better than what we are showing.

Either way, we are still way below par. If its the structure then its the coaches fault

No, Carlton didnt even get out of first gear and beat us by 7 goals. We should still have some sort of basic awareness and skills to find a team mate. I accept it looked like we were having a dip, but had no idea what to do with the ball once we got it

Good signs mean nothing when you are a perennial loser and other teams use us to get confidence from, because they all know we are not a hard team. It might change one day,but im so sure about it, especially if Scully goes to GWS. The leaders arent doing enough like Davey etc to me thats a very bad sign. Im over potential, signs, injuries excuses, etc etc.... I want a mongrel side that is ferocious for 4 quarters! A side that really wants it badly. ( Look at Richmond last night)

I agree , so doers the coach, that Davey is in very poor form right now. I actually like Bartram better when he plays in the midfield, just dont think he is a backman. Foe us to make the 8 we really needed to win at least one if not both of the last 2 winnable games With Carlton Essendon Collingwood and Freo our next 4 games,and all our injuries we are completely stuffed. We now have to rely on teams like Westcoast and sydney losing, but they will gain at least a 2 game break on us. Even Richmond should finish ahead of us. No.....its time to look to next year already.
