I think Newton's problems are above his shoulders- and RR was not referring to his overhead marking but his brain - he doesn't have one. When you consistently miss shots from around the goal square and kick checksides from 8m out then i would suggest kicking IS perhaps a problem. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Newton.

Interested to hear any thoughts on Seaby who is out of contract at the end of the season.......he is a 2nd ruckmen at West Coast 23 years old, moves well and can kick goals......don't think he would command too higher price either.....any thoughts?????? I can't imagine 2009 with a jamar and johnson combo in the ruck .......

I hate to admit it but over the last couple of weeks this thought has reared its ugly head in my mind to, and i suspect a few others. We have good membership numbers this year but they don't turn up to the games. We have a fickle supporter base. We can't keep paying the AFL 50 large every time we play an interstate team at the MCG. We are struggling as it is. The mere thought of a merger almost makes me do my nut, we helped found the bloody league.

Another comical effort was when Miller(I think) took a juggled contested mark on centre wing in front of the benches. The ball spilled out onto the turf and the umpire consequently paid advantage to the demons and play on. ????????
