  1. Why can't they play Ess/Adel on FNF? I know they want a TNF game but FNF is still the prime timeslot for the week that should be showcasing the best game.
  2. They did play there in 2017 and the stink they made especially Caro its unlikely they'll be playing there again in the next few decades. The thing is it's not just the fact they don't have to go there but by those club's not going there it means club's like us, Dogs, North and the non-Vic club's get sent down there every season. Same as Tassie.
  3. They're marking rather than their goal kicking, the Hawks seemed to be outnaeking then all over the ground and especially up forward.
  4. Just put your own name and number if it comes to it I'm sure you can pass on the details at a later time.
  5. Exactly, what an absolute joke we should be Friday night, we are game of the round. Essendon really give me the [censored].
  6. Didn't even realise how many he'd had when I posted it, was more looking at his silk delivering inside 50.
  7. Lewis Taylor beat Marcus Bontempelli for it a few years ago. Surely it's based on the season and not potential.
  8. He is so good below his knees it more than makes up for his marking ability which I have no doubt will come.
  9. I always think of this when I see him, I think it's the eyes
  10. Any chance we can lure Touk Miller from the Sun's?
  11. It's been happening all year and drives me berserk. It's only downfield if it's "after" the kick.
  12. Also Hawthorns tall forwards gave GWS all sorts of problems last week. I agree I'm really surprised they didn't bring Brown in for a run of games to see how he goes, the real problem was who you drop for him.
  13. Which bay are you in?
  14. Yep but now it's about how unfair it is they have to go to Geelong tomorrow and how unfair it is none of their supporters can get in. If you didn't know any better you would assume Essendon had relocated to WA they whinge that much.
  15. Same way they used to adjudicate whether a ball was touched before it crosses the goal line. They stood there, looked at it, and made a call.
  16. That's exactly what I thought but if you read the AFL rules it is a grey area. The ball just has to be kicked before crossing the line withiut being touched by an opposition player so you could argue a "kick" is when the ball connects with the foot not when it disconnects from the foot.
  17. I watched the replay again last night and while it was hilarious, the victim mentality was so far beyond a joke it was embarrassing. Their players falling into it and starting to focus on the umpires rather than the game made it even better, as did the fella having a crack at the umps as they walked off the ground with the female cop having to stand in between. Petracca's wave to the sooky fan after he kocked his 1st goal also a highlight.
  18. It's so disheartening that even something like a global pandemic devolves into a left/right paradigm
  19. Oh Jesus H Christ ?‍♂️
  20. It should be James Jordon has been consistent week in and out since round 1 with few exceptions. It won't be because he's not a flashy player but I'd have him ahead of Jackson this season. Jackson, Rivers, Jordon, Pickett, Sparrow, Petty, Spargo, Fritsch a pretty handy collection from a triumvirate of drafts. If Bowey, Laurie and Rosman come on JT will go down as a legend of the club.
  21. Why though? Cos of the merger? Surely can't be from his playing days, or does he blame us for stopping then 3 or 4-peating (1990?)
  22. Did they also concede they had more frees than us in the 2nd half (9-7)?
  23. The problem is the cap of 25k is split amongst the different areas of the ground - so there would be 5-6k MCC, 5-6k AFL Members and 12-13k MFC Members/GA - if the MCC/AFL Members doesn't get sold out those tickets go unused.
  24. No movement in 9 days, wonder where we are sitting at the moment
