Just a quick update on Trengove.Playing today at AAMI stadium in Sturts league side against the Eagles in the 1st semi final.Trengove lined up on HFF & its currently half way through the 2nd quarter.Listening on net while doing some work so cant tell you exactly how many touches Trengove has had but i can tell you some of the comments Chris Mcdermott & Stephen Rowe have been saying.Comparing him to Bryce Gibbs saying hes in the same mould as him & is every bit as good as him,saying that everything he touches turns to gold & that hes pure silk.Kicks beautifully well on both left & right & is great in the air & on the deck as he has shown several times today.The kid is sensational & LUke Norman has said he will easily be a 200+ game player at AFL,Mcdermott & Rowe agree.1 play he got the ball on the wing & dodged 3 players like they were standing still,he took 2 bounces & ran the ball in hitting the FF lace out on the chest.Mcdermott said he dodged the 1st player then re-assesed,realised there was no options forward so side stepped another then another until waiting for someone to present,said he looks like he has so much time.Ill try & find out his stats at half time but i know hes had at least 6 kicks & a few handballs & has kicked a goal

Port have said Brendon Lade wants to go to VIC to coach & they know they cant keep him.Was a great Ruckman & also they say hes the brains behind Ports clearances,over the years they have had 1 of the best clearance rates & are ranked up there for goals kicked from throw ins,bounces etc.Would be a handy pick up for us i think & would be a good start.Played under Bailey so maybe that will help.Think he will go with Hardwick though

Actualy he has said in Adelaide that his 1st choice is Hawks,then Meld & then Ess.Hes talking to Hawks today & will be in Melb for a few days.Said that Hawks approached him & june & started chasing him then & started talking.He said he dosnt care if he gets a tread cos he would love to end up with Melb

1 thing that people are forgetting is that this year if a player & the clubs dont agree on a trade he can then nominate for the national draft which is before the PSD.That would count us out then id say cos we wouldnt be picking him instead of Scully.If he dosnt get picked in the national draft then he can go in the PSD.But Ports football manager has said if hes still there at theyre number 8 pick they would re draft him.Hawthorn is Burgoynes 1st choice but they have pick 9 after Port & Port said they would want more than Hawks pick 9 for a fair deal.This could all get messy but id say we have no chance now

Hes been in the Sturt senior side since the U/18 carnival.the only time he didnt play was when he went back to his school side for 1 game.He went ok in the game against Central who are the reigning premiers.Was tagged by Paul Thomas whos Centrals captain & was at Essendon.He kicked a few goals & 1 was a ripper from on the run on the boundary about 45 out.Had around 20 touches i think.Has been averaging over 20 touches a game the last few weeks & kicks goals every week,has also been named in the best quiet a few times

I agree & even over here in the paper Chris Mcdermott was talking about Burgoynes options & said Melb will be a better option than most think as we have alot of great kids coming through & have more to come.I think maybe it might take another year or 2 yet before people will be realy wanting to come to us but hopefully the sooner the better

if i remember correctly Trent Croad didnt have a say when Hawks sent him to Freo,he woke yp in hospital & was presented with a Freo guernsey & didnt know anything about it,i coild be wrong though

Thats not correct,the player has no say in it,if Port do a deal with anyone its bad luck for Burgoyne

Mackay is a mad Demons fan,said he grew up going to all theyre games with his parents as they were big Dee fans,cried the day the Crows beat us in the 2002 finals.Would love to get him home to Melbourne 1 day as its always good to have someone that would bleed for your club

Sorry i didnt realy answer that to good.I would say that at least half his kicks & handballs come from chasing & crumbing as hes fairly mobile & good below his knees.I cant say if he gets more that Butcher as i havnt seen Butcher live but i can say that ive seen Panos get quiet a few guys holding the ball & dosnt mind tackling.1 game he chased down a Rover on the wing & caught him holding the ball,he passed to a player on the 50 line & then ran on & received before slotting through the goal from about 40 out on the boundary.Most games hes up around the 15 to 20 stat mark

Bit about Panos & Trengove.Panos has finished for the year as Norwoods season is over.Unfortunatly i think Norwood played some games with him in the end.They sacked there coach & things changed a bit a few rounds from the end.Panos was playing fairly well but then got put back to the Reserves along with Luke Jericho & Dean Terlich who came from the Swans.They bought up a few kids from the U/16s & played them,i think as a look into the future as they couldnt make the finals & they knew that Panos & a few others wernt in next years plans.He does get a few kicks out on the HFF & he chases & does a few 1,2s.hes good on the ground & is very smart,if hes not in the best possie he always looks in the corridor etc for a better target.He also seems to have a few handballs which as we know alot of FF dont do haha.Trengove played in Sturts finals tody & had over 20 possies i think as well as kicking 2 goals.The commentators couldnt stop talking him up & were saying that hes ready for AFL & is just such a natural footballer.Saying he always just has so much extra time & space like all the good MIDS do.They also rate him as a captain & say hes a natural leader.Sturt are playing again next week so will get back to you how he does then

I have a 2000 grand final Melbourne guernsey that was signed by all the players at a function in the week leading up to the Grand Final.Unfortunatly we lost so its not worth as much but sentiment wise i love it,Its the only GF ive ever seen Melb in since i was born so it means alot.Some great players on there 2

Port Adelaide has said they wont be looking at Mark Seaby.The Port footy department is currently being propped up by the SANFL so they cant afford to pay Seaby what he wants.They have to cut back playing spending as the club made a loss again this year.Seaby is apparently out of their price range & the rumour is that Sydney have spoken to him & its at the stage where W.C & Sydney are trying to work out a deal.With Port saying day by day that they desperatly need a Ruckman & will offer up pick 8 maybe we could help.I know Jamar is starting to show something but sometimes you have to give up something to make the club better & also still rumours that he wants to leave us anyway.I would be keen to offload Jamar & our 4th round pick or Jamar & Bell to get Ports pick 8.Imagine if we had pick 1,2,8 & 18.Thats 4 picks in the top 20 where all the cream is.Thats never been done before & would be a huge boost for us.We could get Skully,Trengove at 1 & 2 & then look at Carlisle or Rohan et the number 8 & the Panos or Butcher at 18.Would have the 2 best mids then a couple of KPP.Would be a great win for us.Even Jamar or T-Mac for this to happen would be a good outcome in my opinion

Yeah has been playing fairly well.Last week in the last minor round he had about 20 possies & was named in the best,kicked a couple of goals also.Sturt finished 3rd so hopefully he gets to play a few finals games so we can see how he stacks up in big games.Quiet a few AFL players have come back to the SANFL sides for finals so he will be up against some quality opponents in the middle.Has been named on the HFF this week against CEntral who are the reigning premiers & Paul Thomas who was at Essendon a couple of years ago is starting on him.Thomas is Centrals captain so thats a fairly tough opponent on him so hopefully he stands up & has a big game.Good sign though when the kid starts a SANFL final against more experienced players,they must have some confidence in him.A mate at work is a Sturt member & loves the Saints.He has big wrapps on him & thinks he has a big future & was hoping he would last until the Saints pick

Not sure about all this.He came out during the Mark Williams coaching drama & said that if Williams didnt get the job he would leave,he said he loved Williams & wanted to play for him.So Williams has been appointed & now he wants to jump?Several other things,hes gone in for knee surgery at the moment & its not the 1st time,hes had knee problems before.Also people on here bag Lake saying hes to old but now want to look at a player whos just as old & has had more injuries.Also we will get the 2 best mids in the draft so how many more do we need?Id rather trade for a quality KPP or a Ruckman.No doubt he has skill though & im not saying that i dont rate him.Been mentioned here that Sydney have offered him 1.8 million over 3 years so thers no way id pay that price

Just had a quick look at the paper.Trengoves stats. 14 kicks,6 handballs,3 marks & 2 goals & was named in Sturts best players/Hope that helps a little

He would be worth a shot in the PSD as would a few other players being listed.Wouldnt trade for him but now hes free i think he would be worth a look.Should be a few players in there that might add a bit to our club

Yeah the site is pretty poor & usually takes a day or 2 to update.Im trying to remember i site i found which lists stats player by player over every game in the SANFL & reserves.You pick a player & you can check everything,ill keep trying but as of now im off to go buy a paper & then ill get back to you on his stats from yesterday ok

Yes Boak signed on for next year so that pretty much counts us out unless we give up draft pick or trade.Kane Cornes,Justin Westoff,Danyle Pearce & Brett Ebert have all been put up for trade by th Power & said they will probably add 17 more players to that list.

The Power has just done theyre 1st round of player assessments & this has been said so far.justin Westoff,Brett Ebert,Danyle Pearce & Kane Cornes have all been told that they are seeking trades for them & they will be put on the table to other clubs.Believe that they think they will offer up 7 more players by the time they finish theyre reviews.Graham Cornes even cheekily asked the question as to,do you think another club would give up a first round draft pick to get all 4 players.He said he didnt think another club would give up 1 pick for the 4 of them.I would give up our 2nd pick for the 4 but i couldnt see port going for that anyway.They said Salopek & boak definatly wont be going anywhere.They are very desperate for a Ruckman

I thinl Lade wpuld be great as a assistant.Warren Tredrae has stated in the paper that hes the best coaching prospect he has seen at the club,rates him higher than Bailey,Hardwick etc.Says hes a great talker,motivator & is very smart about all things football.Richmond has been mentioned but so has Melbourne,obviously with Bailey & mahoney being there.Another one is Matthew Primus,hes looking at offers in Vic at the moment & looks like he will leave.Power say that hes the reason they have done so well in midfield clearences & goals kicked from ball ups.Scott West seems to be good & was a gun player so hopefully this works out with the more time he spends with us

I agree with you,its a joke.Dosnt matter if you like the guy or not the game is getting worse & worse by the year.It will soon be called the Australian touch football league.Some of the rules are a joke & you cant even lay a good tackle anymore,dont think Franklin should have even gone to tribunal.Lloyds was worse but maybe only a week or two max.I use to hate the game of soccer but fair dinkum this sports heading that way unfortunatly

Has anyone put some thought into getting Luke Ball to MFC.Not sure what the rumours are like in VIC but in SA the word seems to be that he wont be at the Saints next year.Is he contracted or could we possibly get him in the PSD.Would be a great addition to the club i think,could help the young lads out & add a bit of class.What are eveyones thoughts or info about this? Also Salopek,Boak & ebert all signed for the Powerless so we would have to trade,no chance of PSD for them.Also i dont mind Marcus Drum,is good size & played a good game on the weekend & heard he wants to head back to VIC
