  1. He did "meet" with the Kangaroos, but didnt he meet with Geelong before the premiership? (I realise this is a bit more than"not so long ago")
  2. nothing is ever as a good or bad as it is said in the media or by the club. didnt Viney have a tour with Geelong not so long ago
  3. us supporters are mugs for thinking that the club hasn't been breaking down in front of our eyes for the last 18 months
  4. seeing Angus in that kicking the goal that put us in front and lying in the confetti has brought me to tears. Gonna watch his GF post match celebrations and then come back the brownlow. love the man
  5. first time ive seen mark and goal of the year, can I just say, goals were average and does another team play in this comp besides Collingwood.
  6. I did see that too 😀
  7. do we think its going to be tied this year? Its been mentioned about 10 times since I started watching the news tonight.
  8. I remember Essendon doing something similar to the childrens hospital appeal on the phone lines and raised significant $$ I presume that the build will be completed in phases?
  9. glass half empty/ glass half full
  10. do we take any solace out of the fact that the last time we played the preliminary finalists we lost to 3 of them by less than a goal and beat the other one?
  11. back to the future and not in a good way. Why the [censored] would Green even entertain meeting Gutnik? What relationship would they have? So they have a private meeting and the first thing Gutnik does is go to the media. WTF. If this is seriously how the club operates no wonder we are in the [censored], seriously amateur hour
  12. just looking at some university club football facilities and think the club should definitely include an indoor trading ground, and the screen graphics above the player lockers
  13. Don’t think we will hear from trac till the vic clubs are out of the finals
  14. I have been supporting this club for 45 years and it’s truly amazing how many years we have been in crisis, at this stage it’s in the DNA. No other club struggles to retain players like we do. At this stage how many more “crises “ do members have left?
  15. Don’t necessarily agree with this guys tactics, but I agree with an external review
  16. I heard this a few weeks ago, if the club are not throwing $$ at him then we are not a serious
  17. Is he ****ty with the club for the way they handled the injury on game day? I have no doubt that the club doctors followed procedure on the day. I have no doubt they did all assessments and procedures before sending him back on the field. I would imagine* that while he was off the field the doctors would have been going by what CP5 was telling them. Was the pain located to one spot? was the pain of the ribs more than the pain of the lung/ spleen? I have no doubt that the conducted other assessments, but mostly they would have been based on what CP5 was telling them. The docs dont have the luxury of scanners etc on the boundary/ in the rooms. I possibly came off with a 10/10 pain, perhaps that subsided after a short time to a 4/10 pain, and the conversation of giving him pain relief came up. perhaps after this the pain became a 2/10 and CP5 was sure he could go on and play. I imagine he ran at 50%- 80%-100%, did squat jumps and whatever other warm up exercises required before saying he was right to go back on. I imagine that the docs are assessing him the entire time too. I imagine after a short time, body contact, running at 110% the pain came back to being 10/10 and he came off the ground. I think I read that it was a second round of scans at the hospital the the true extent of his injuries came to light. Do i think the club/ docs wish they could have done things differently, yep Do I think that CP5 wish he could have done things differently, yep. There was a review of what happened and the AFL have ticked it off. Could CP5 request a review and make changes to the rules for injured players across the league to make change, yep he could, and he still might be the catalyst for this . Has he been through a traumatic experience, absolutely, but reading through the [censored] tonight, it feels like he is more traumatised by his families reaction to his situation and that he "may not have made it" than he is to the injury itself. Was the clubs reaction the same as his families? Did they stay at the hospital/ follow up with visits/ calls/ texts? who knows, doesnt sound like they went above and beyond. Should they go above and beyond, [censored] yeah, blow smoke up the guys [censored], do whatever is needed to make him feel loved. Do I believe that he would take a trade right now if it were possible? yep Do I believe he will only go to a big Vic club? no, this is media hyperbole Do I believe he is only thinking of his brand? nope, this is media hyperbole Do I believe his injury and the reaction by the club to be the catalyst of a bunch of things that have happened this year, to his current feeling? yep Do I believe that he loves the players/ coaches and club? yep Do I believe there will be monumental change within the club structure/ coaches etc? yep Do I believe that this will be sorted by the club and he will be in red and blue next year? yep Do I believe that he will finish his career in the red and blue? depends what happens this off season Do I believe this will impact our recruiting this year? yep Will I love this club forever with or without CP5? [censored] oath Go dees * imagine, thats all I can do. im not an AFL player, involved in a club, or a doctor
  18. Can he retire, for a few months and then nominate a team? Or for a season and then nominate whoever?
  19. its all about ego then??
  20. He was at the game Friday night. The players were sitting in the corporate box behind us. They were all there
  21. i think we'll have 2 in the next 5 years. Gawn will finish as a 2x premiership captain.
  22. whoever the [censored] they are, let them write their own cheques. #14 will be worth it
  23. Players in the box directly behind us, kids getting pics. Highlight of the night
  24. This has only come about cos we are after one of their players. They wouldnt be doing their due diligence if they didnt ask.
