Completely agree @Macca. We have a raft of senior and emerging players that can carry us forward. With pick 5, we can get a very good player for our midfield. If we can leverage our future 1st into another first rounder this year, there's a chance we get two top 20 picks, so two young mids to add to the emerging core. If Trac and Koz go we'll be able to have multiple bites of the cherry this year with JT and feed these guys into Chocco's development program. If we get the off field stuff right, we can reset the list prior to Tassie muddying the draft and remain competitive over the next 2 or so years, before we can absolutely attack a flag.

The thing about Smillie is his kicking to advantage. It's very noticeable. Contrast that with our mids and half forwards, he'd fit in nicely. I'd like 2 or 3 picks in the top 15 this year, there's so much scope in this crop. I'll trust JT though.

I disagree. Many people on Demonland seem to want change. It's pretty clear on and off the field we need change. I don't trust the club to do an unbiased internal review. We need a top down external review.

I reckon Langford is already that player though. He gives us ball use, whilst still being able to win his own ball and take a contested mark.

Unless we can get two top 10 picks, we won't be able to land players like Langford and Lalor, but if we can land a top 15-20 pick, I reckon Cooper Hynes has a lot of the attributes that Lalor has, but is likely to go later. Then there's Murphy Reid who might provide us something a little different, but I don't see him as a Melbourne type player. However, if we could nab one (or two - fingers crossed) of Langford, Lalor or Hynes, I think we'd be rapt. If we can somehow manufacture three picks in the top 20, it completely changes our list profile. And I hope we'd want to complement this with some experienced faces too, whether it's a Jack Macrae, Cumming or someone else of that 26-30 age range that gives us more options through the midfield and half back.

He'd just finished top 4 for a third year in a row. This is BS. As is the stuff about government departments and universities. She's private sector all the way. As is the corporate flag waving and inclusiveness. But... I think we need a new board, new pres and new CEO, with the incomers guaranteeing Goody stability on field, with a refreshed footy department (with Todd Viney at the head).
