I enjoy these types of posts. Blue Sky dreamer apparently. I'd say I'd only make two list changes from what you've proposed here. One is a forced change and that is getting a forward to replace LJ. Easier said than done. The second is trading in someone like a Clinton Young to replace Nicholson. A better decision maker and a better kick. Currently Nicholson offers us a little bit of muscle, but mostly run. His disposal is a little bit Simon Buckleyesque.

Yeah, mine too.

Every coach does this though really.

Or Hogan-talk is misdirection.

Sorry, why is Rawlings an incentive to come to the MFC now?

Isn't a Goddard type at Carlton. Don't see why he'd be any better at Melbourne.

Matthews is too old. While the players were told their new coach was Ross Lyon, only for him to be appointed at Freo and then Neeld to be instated the very next day. I'd say Lyon took the biggest pay packet and stronger list in Freo.

I don't think he's that poor by foot. It's more his decision making and what he actually offers to the team. His main attribute is allegedly his tank, yet he doesn't get anywhere near enough of the ball. He's not really elite in any aspect of the game and hence is a delist for mine.

Love Jordie. Plays for the jumper and gives his all, but very limited footballer. I'd consider keeping him as a depth tagger in the next few years. Currently though he is a walk up starter due to our ordinary midfield.

It's interesting, Trenners moved a lot better for mine today. He could also kick with a little more penetration against the Crows. I agree he's struggled to get past 35m for most of the year but today and last week he looked better.

Could be a really good footballer. At the moment his goal kicking holds him back. That was a nice kick today though.

James Frawley ... What's happened?
Adam The God replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Chip has rarely been beaten this year. Today he was hopeless. By his standards this year hasn't been good enough. -
Precisely. I said it during the match today. Put more class and pace around Trengove and he will be an absolute gun.

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
Adam The God replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
They have any idea where he's going? -
Gutnick does not have curly hair. Meanwhile, my type? Describing a Jewish person as a "squealing curly headed rat", I'd call that xenophobic. No, I haven't dealt with him in business. That's irrelevant to your original comment that I referenced. You're the disgrace.

Lance Franklin a late withdrawal ... again

Sorry I must have missed all this. What's the insinuation about Buddy, RR? -

Unless of course Cloke knows Mick will be at Carlton next year... -
Don't get the Caddy love. Very meh.

Racism? Oh that's really nice. Secondly, Gutnick wasn't great, but his money saved the club. There's really no denying that. We should have played by the rules in the 90s. Exploit them, yes, but not cheat. We paid the price. Blame Craig Cameron and BP's recruitment. I still find it staggering that Richmond rated CC so highly. Though he has done a slightly better job at Richmond.

Does the rise of McDonald spell the end for Rivers?
Adam The God replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
What if we were to pick up a key forward in the trade period? That may well signal the end for Rivers, but not as a result of McDonald. I think it's a fair enough OP, to be honest. I'd give Rivers one year deals from here on out. He's probably got one or two left in him though. -
Moloney has always barked instructions. It's usually been because he's been too lazy to do the work himself.
-
Obviously I'm not saying delist. If there are no suitors, then certainly he's a very solid depth player. He still reads the play beautifully and is a better decision maker than Joel Mc.
-
We should be signing Blease and Gysberts. I'd be holding off on Rivers. Limited as a player now. Loved him over the years as a player, but his pace is worrying. I cannot see a position for him going forward either.

A Brave Neeld World ... Some signs of life are emerging
Adam The God replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm usually right with you RR, but our midfield requires a lot more than a sprinkling of class. Jones, Gysberts (if we keep him), Blease (if we keep him) and Grimes are pretty much the only players I'd hope as best 22 in two years time. Sylvia should be traded. Moloney, Magner and McKenzie are all one paced and very limited footballers. We're gonna need Viney, another young gun (preferably with pace to burn) and one or two older guys (Sewell/Mitchell types). I'm not sure how much we can actually put down to fighting spirit yesterday and what was St Kilda simply taking the foot off in the last stanza. He doesn't have much to play with Neeld, but there's very little to take away from this season. We've started to get more goals from midfield in recent weeks, but our heads drop way too early and I've seen little resilience apart from a handful of players.
