Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
I think our talls are alright for next year. We need to put our chips into beefing up the midfield and a small lockdown defender to release McVee higher. But maybe AMW can play this role?

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
Look, maybe I should retract my previous comment, because I'm not 100%. I thought Mahoney was often driving it, but as list manager, Tim would have played a significant role. But things don't appear to have worked as well since Viney and Mahoney left, so I can only assume they played a greater part.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
Agreed, but this was back in the day where Mahoney was a key player, as was Todd Viney. I trust JT, but the jury is out on Tim Lamb for me unfortunately. I think Tim has strengths, but we don't seem to be as nimble and efficient in trading up as we were, but there's probably a large amount of luck in all this.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
I'd absolutely be trying to be aggressive in getting access to two players in the top 15, and maybe even a third player inside the top 20.

We traded our second rounder to Adelaide for McAdam, but will likely get that pick back for Nibbler. I'd hope we'd get another pick this year and one next year to help us with NGA for Nibbler. Best 22, premiership player, a year younger than McAdam. I'd hope we want more than what we traded for McAdam.

And a softer draw. We do need to do more to our list than just add pick 5 though.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Exactly, so they'll need lots of later picks and be willing to give up a first rounder to get them.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Don't agree. Gold Coast could well give us a first, as could Freo.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I'd say he'll be around our ANB pick, but he's much rawer than his brother, who to me, looks easily the best of the KPPs players in the draft. Jack looks like a gun. We could even get both brothers if we manage to get another top 15 pick by trading out our future 1st.

Yep, there are better ways to get the club to improve than the way this was dealt with. But happy father's day, Adam.

Garry Lyon for MFC President
Could well make a good Pert replacement.

Trade Targets
I'd love to know what the players think. I reckon they'd prefer the two options I proposed instead of the transition game. IMV, it's much better to go against the grain.

Trade Targets
He's adaptable season to season, he's also coached the highest scoring team in the league before, so he knows how to coach offensively, it's just he rightly IMV, values defence more. I think it's likely we'll shift towards the 2018 style next year. We could play the 2018 attacking style in the H&A season and go back to the defensive territory game in the finals if we make it.

Trade Targets
Take a look at all the re-signings and they wouldn't be re-signing if they didn't believe in Goody and get on with him. Doesn't mean Goody can't get better though.

Trade Targets
I agree, we need changes, but not the coach.

Trade Targets
We won't be trading pick 5. Take it to the bank. We may well go for Daniel, and he might be handy for us. But I'm thinking more about mids and forwards that can improve our stoppage and forward half work. That said, Daniel could improve our stoppage work as well. I think the template should be a mixture of Port's 2018 draft where they brought in 3 talented youngsters, and then I also think we can use some older guys like Daniel and Wright. Day would be a disaster and not make sense for our list at all, but I get you're being facetious.

Trade Targets
What are you talking about? He attracted Lever, May and Langdon, who were all vital pieces to the premiership puzzle. TPP then can become a problem when you win a flag.

Trade Targets
Harvey Langford Cooper Hynes Peter Wright James Peatling or another top 30 draftee.

I remember being down at Geelong for his break out game. It's incredible to think how far he has come and how much he has grown as a leader. Well done, big man.

When Faced with Adversity, You Fight Back and Win
Completely agree @Macca. We have a raft of senior and emerging players that can carry us forward. With pick 5, we can get a very good player for our midfield. If we can leverage our future 1st into another first rounder this year, there's a chance we get two top 20 picks, so two young mids to add to the emerging core. If Trac and Koz go we'll be able to have multiple bites of the cherry this year with JT and feed these guys into Chocco's development program. If we get the off field stuff right, we can reset the list prior to Tassie muddying the draft and remain competitive over the next 2 or so years, before we can absolutely attack a flag.

Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
I did the same haha although I deliberately don't make a habit of facepalming.

Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
A lot of those facepalmers look ridiculous now. Welcome back, @Mach5
