  1. We play it quietly and professionally these days.
  2. Not saying Suckling is right necessarily, but Salem is the only back flanker we have (soon to be midfielder) that can kick a football properly. We need to target these type of players.
  3. What I meant was that we will add to our inside grunt again this off season and we should also be adding to our outside stocks. We need good ball users. And I'm certainly not happy with our midfield. It still needs two more off seasons.
  4. That's why it's usually better adding those players once you've got your inside, contested grunt. We have that now. We should be targeting these types now. I'd be going McKenzie at Gold Coast.
  5. Forget about the draft. We will be trading, methinks.
  6. I'd prefer it to be against Essendon. Jeffy can kick his 10 against Carlton. :D
  7. Watts is doing the right things now. He also seems to be one of the only players who isn't afraid to back himself. Surely, yesterday was evidence of this. Watts, Toumpas and Cross will and should stay. The rest will and should go.
  8. I don't mind a bit of hot air sometimes.
  9. That is all he can do. He's not even that elite. Jones goes, Watts clearly stays and McKenzie goes.
  10. I want both too. I don't think it's too greedy at all. Aish is struggling to cement his place at Brisbane. He shouldn't be our first target. We need to go hard for A graders/cusp of A grade at the end of this year. Prestia and Coniglio are the go for mine too. As you note, it's all about whether we have enough to get them both.
  11. There's about four or five players at Essendon I would go after (if it weren't for ASADA/WADA). Carlisle would be one of them. I can't understand them wanting to let him go. Unless it's more about him wanting out.
  12. It really depends on what we have to give up to get Aish, IMO. We could get Aish and someone even better.
  13. Quick, slick skills. Makes sense.
  14. Depends what you can get them for. Carlisle is the only one I'd touch though.
  15. Yeah, I can see this happening and agree with probably landing someone from GWS, GC or Sydney.
  16. Agreed. The difficulty is having the currency to bring a genuine A grader in. Who do you think we should be looking at there?
  17. Yep. We need to focus on this area. We still lack 6 or 7 AFL grade midfielders that can rotate through there. A lot of work to be done. Developing from within is also obviously important to bridging this issue.
  18. That's fine. By the end of 2017, we should be well and truly amongst it and ready to lure him again. Only this time, we'll be in a much stronger position. Let's turn our attention to Prestia. Perfect time to strike. His value has been lowered due to injury, but he's still an A grader. Upon a fitness test, I'd give up Howe or a first rounder. Maybe I just have Prestia blinkers on again.
  19. Everything except that hopeless effort running into the goal square and lazily sticking one hand out, dropping it and Collingwood taking it straight down the other end and goaling. Otherwise, his intensity was stronger than normal.
  20. Add Tyson to that group and I'm with you, mate.
  21. We'd be laughing if we got any of those for Fitzy (despite his obvious upside). Would take Macrae any day of the week. Is he still struggling to get a game at the Bullies?
  22. If it's the same blonde guy that I'm thinking of, I still see him regularly at the footy. See him whenever we trave interstate too. Remember the guy with 45 on his back too. Haven't seen him around for quite some time though.
