  1. It's incredible how easily people take what's said at face value. Astounding in this age of rubbish journalism.
  2. I would if Sydney paid $200-300k of his supposed $800k salary.
  3. I'd prefer not to label you stupid. I'd just prefer to say that you should know better than to take what SEN say on face value.
  4. Come on, mate. You're better than that. Do you believe everything you hear from journalists? You're taking SEN as the mouthpiece of the MFC? Surely not. Until the MFC or BLFC come out and deny it, I'd say nothing much has changed from prior to Hudson on air at SEN.
  5. I wonder if there is indeed no interest in Rockliff (and we haven't come out and said that...), I wonder if we'll switch our attention to a second target before the Lewis and Hibberd deals.
  6. Don't read it then. Pretty simple. Haha, indeed.
  7. You reckon? I reckon he's/she's havin' a good laugh. If it's been guessed, it ruins his/her game.
  8. We need Garlett up forward more than we need ANB in the middle. He simply won't get a game with these new guys coming in unless we really have a bad run with injury. Just on Stef Martin, my old man sent me a text today about Stef Martin requesting a trade to Melbourne. I figure it was rubbish. He didn't claim a good source on it, but has anyone heard anything about that?
  9. We re-signed Pedersen, so Dawes can therefore be moved on.
  10. Well, I'd be including Hunt and Salem if Stretch was involved too. They'll all feature in some capacity.
  11. Disagree. We would be adding two A graders to our midfield. I'm sorry, but there's no two ways about it. That sort of talent injection hasn't been seen outside of the GWS midfield and even they haven't managed it in one off season.
  12. It'd be one of the deepest and most talented midfields in the league. Oh and we have the AA ruckman.
  13. To me, the possible recruitment of any of these guys would signal we're keen to fast track our success. Go for A graders and go for experience. It's a bold, but still thought out strategy. We would love to have two A graders and an elite kicking B grader into our squad. As of 2016, we have Gawn as our only A grader, Jones on the cusp and a bunch of the young guys like Viney and Tyson ready to take the step into that next bracket too. So from the end of 2016, where we have one A grader, all of a sudden with natural improvement, 2017 could see us have six A graders in Viney, Tyson, Lewis, Rockliff, Gawn and even Jones with that experience supporting him. And if Jetta can rise once more, he'll be an A grader for mine too. But without the injection of Hibberd's experience and kicking skills in our back six; without the experience, decision-making, disposal and leadership of Lewis in our midfield; as well as Rockliff's experience, ball-winning ability and goal-kicking ability in our midfield and forwardline, we don't make the same level of progress. These guys will take the pressure of all those already at the club and allow them to rise even further. If it comes to fruition, I think it will have been an inspired recruiting period, along with whoever Taylor manages to snare in the national draft - and all of this from a starting position of pick 26. We're a serious football club off the field these days and I love it. It won't be long before we're a serious club onfield too. Hopefully starting next year.
  14. You mean the guy that supposedly turned down more money at the Suns to play for less than he was getting at Hawthorn? His name is Jordan Lewis.
  15. Completely disagree, mate. Most of them wouldn't get a look in most places. But that means we've made strides.
  16. Where have you been? You're obviously hating all of this potential movement around Melbourne.
  17. Sounds like that deal may break down though I read somewhere else.
  18. Further, from the Slobbo article: "In a stunning period of developments at the Hawks, Lewis’s name was proposed to Gold Coast and it’s understood the Suns were prepared to pay Lewis more than what Demons plan to." Very interesting and heartening.
  19. Interesting. That would be this article: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/jordan-lewis-set-to-join-melbourne-after-rejecting-move-to-gold-coast-as-part-of-jaeger-omeara-deal/news-story/ac4ac66276d2a67f7f93650eac260a53
  20. There just seems to be such a momentum with Lewis to Melbourne that I'd take it to the bank that he's ours now, irrespective of photoshopping or no photoshopping of their membership visual assets.
