Just lets them mark the ball. FFS..... ... you have to compete, you have to go... and a jump to punch the ball takes NO courage, whatsoever.! That is a give-up, too-hard signal, to the whole team, who are besting the Rzzzes off.

The kicking of nearly all of our players is an issue for us. I think since 666, there is a bit more run and carry happening, and more space opens up, than last year... so kicking on both sides of the body, IMO is a must once again. I think one-sided kicking was enough since the flood entered the AFL terminology... But now its time for disposing of the Pill, on either side of the body. We have to work on this again now. And IF Viney's foot is stuffed... then he MUST learn to kick right-sided. Same with one-sided Petracca... .

I'd give tSmith one more year... Like I would have given Pedo one more. or even a rookie spot. No guarantees on jSmith's or TMc's health. We need a good reserve. Especially as we see a potential finals joust, in our near future.

Hopefully as a hindsight action, rather than a being-clever action... that just backfires in our faces.

Too soon to tell, on all of them... consistent strong performances over a couple of seasons, IMO is required. (see Hunt). A very lucky boy I reckon, that he's found a position he can play in. He was looking at the chop end of this year, if he didn't find a position to show his skills. Last year I don't think would have worked for him, inside 50... with the extreme press happening. Hunt needs some space in front, and around him. IMO. All of those kids mentioned, all have some skills. Hopefully they will all continue to grow. But no Pedestals yet for any of them...

He has a very good Rep'... but maybe not-so with feet and orthopedics.

Wired differently, yes of course, (I was born a timid kid who was bullied from 5 to 18)... I was stifled in my growth from that. It took a hell of a lot of work and persistence to work my way until I grew physically heavier and then with a combo of things a change in belief and attitude which also then coincided with road rage as an outlet which needed some more adjustment. I have taken on gangs of blokes, and stood up for individuals, stepping in to fights to break the up, or to save someone down on the ground, who was in harms way. I am still a mess... but one with some pride, self respect and Will... and I will run into a burning building, (always would have) and will stand up to bullies, and others wishing to control and demean. (easier to back up others who are being bullied or assaulted) So jeffy is a no, from me. He is the same as when at Carlton... he had one very good season, where he did commit... then went off again. So pardon me, I am not inspired by what jeffy is. or any soft types in the red and blue.

Follow through... The follow through must be heading toward the goal target, surely.

He needs to extract his digit nudge, or he'll be another bust. Playing on his potential alone isn't good enough. He has to start to produce instead of letting others do the work. This elite ground ball stuff says he should be in the guts.

IF you go back and look over his U18 video clip of Petracca... prior to his being drafted, you can see how much of an advantage he enjoyed by being BIG, compared to the other players in his draft years.

Great idea Kent... your making me hungry. The club should put on a 50/50 B-B-Q, during the Bye, for all supporters to come and have a get together Pow-Wow. Give a little Get a little... since so many supporters and members seem so ripped off. A casual mid-season report. Players shouldn't have to be there, during they're break... but some might show up.? Supporters bring their own side-salad, Or their meat. One or the other.? Mfc could ask the Casey catering crew to attend.? preparing food at say cost-price.? the club could put down a base payment for the caterers.? .

Maybe its time for all supporters to dress as though they are all Undercover cops. All supporters to dress in the same uniforms. That'll make the spotters cross-eyed.

This is the area of our breakdown in a nutshell.... but also calls into question those who should be on the receiving end of transitions... and what they do to mark, or to make position, and drawing their defenders apart. Petracca IMO, should not start inside F50. Its been far too easy to get the ball out of our 50. We need more mobility and speed, inside our 50. Spread I think. iirc. Spread the defenders.? even if it follows them kicking the ball out of our F50, then we regain & run the ball back thru Mids, and spot up a target inside. Is how I recall it last year.?
