  1. I started to wonder about that after i typed the post, thinking we could go with 2 smalls. Our structures now are so flexible with our key personnel, we can almost have any model structure. We are playing Garletts old team, (he may find form against the blues) Carlton, with the Crows following. So we will be building a structure to be most robust against the Crows, and following matches. The certainty is Viney back, but also maybe on limited game time. This possible brings Bull into the equation. He has recently played midfield and has the size and strength to upset most midfielders. With Bull in the side, rotating thru midfield? and forward,,, he adds another match-up headache for oppositions. cl: Jones, Salem, Hannan hf: Spargo , Hogan, Petracca ff: Fritsch, Bull Smith, TMc... OK i'm having keyboard problems. ps. Its back, keyboard. R: Gawn, Oli, Viney... Int: Harmes, Vince, ANB, Garlett im a bit hazy in the head atmo, so i'll come back to this later, to check it.
  2. I think they want, looking forward for the next month, as much mature experience as we can muster together. So > Viney for Tyson Garlett for Spargo. Bull for Weide.

I wonder, he'll be elsewhere, for the start of 2019 ? We have to trade our way back into 2018, and we also want some free agents. They're not giving them away, these days.

Stretch has not really had a collection of games strung together, to show any real form.
  5. off field admins presentations, are a bit too stuffy. I'm glad the club is running without all that fluff, and stuffiness.
  6. Lol... later to be commuted to life at Carltoon.
  7. Yeah phew, are those old prince park toilets overflowing yet again?
  8. Postcode of Warrandyte. 3113
  9. 1933 or 1939_ take your pick. This was the Beginning, of the real ferocity, within the jumper. it all started from here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melbourne_Football_Club#Premiership_record https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_'Checker'_Hughes#Coaching_career It gave birth to the likes of Norm Smith, and Ronald dale B.
  10. I differ h, I hope he has a blinder, from the half back flank.
  11. I reckon Gus is a more intelligent footy player, than Tracca is. Tracca is a bull, and probably hasn't needed to fine tune things as much, in his lifetime.

comeon Blz, he's not the only D's player that's been outa form this season. We need speed on our list, and he has truckloads of tow. He just needs to learn to adapt to our game, and to practice lowering the eyes at training, and make sure he hits his targets there.
  13. I understand why he might question the selection, as last year we came unstuck X 2... As long as they are conservative, (don't you hate that word),,, with his amount of time per Qtr... that's the main thing, IMO. Wwe need him in. But I only want him going about at 85% to 90% intensity, tomorrow! It's the following game I want him Fully-Fit for, and he can go at 95% intensity, in that game against the Crows. Easing into full match fitness by half-season.

Clarko still manipulating the game; now he's recruited the boss, to do his blocking for him. where di all the coaches meetings go for this stuff? or is that a wee bit like the united nations. they can never agree.

  18. Yes it is , but one player was 26 or 27 yrs of age and had over 100 games to his name;,,, and the other is about 20Yrs, maybe 21 ?,, and just trying to start.

If we play finals this year, Spargo is going to be Very needed. And so we need to get as many games into him as we can, as long as quality. but not stale him. I wonder if 4 games, then 2 off,,, and another 4 games, might be handy for him. 2 off here and there, to freshen his mind.
  20. round em all up, and put in a cage, last man standing. none will be left. they'll all devour one another, intellect first.
  21. Do you think they could do with a Tyson type, and a running halfback?
  22. I don't think we've changed our "gameplan"... its just we are getting players back into the side, and players are starting to find some form. Too often our supporters want to see the worst, instead of looking to understand what is actually being tried, to be put into action.
  23. 13 hours ago, Jaded said: Stewy Dew looks like he ate all the players. I've been wondering where all the de-listed Swans & Suns players have been disappearing to ? ?️
  24. Its not about hit-out stats, its about clearances, and around the ground effect. Competing hard and nullifying the oppo' ruck, is crucial. Pedo hurts the opposition around the midfield when rucking, and rolls forward as an effective target. He did very well, playing the role TMc is playing.
  25. You need to learn, that the team carries some players when they are off form, Or learning to play a KEY role. we are building for Our future, not for this week. the eyes are raised to the future and the Weide wil be neded and he waon't really develop so much at casey.' He can ingrain some good habits there, but the competition he needs isn't there, so much. not like the old days. However if the AFL reduce the rotations further, the huge Gap between AFL and VFL will reduce,,,, to allow young players more impact at AFL level.
