  1. 30+ with recurring calf injuries? Most likely
  2. People choose to support the club in different ways. If we have 40000 turning up to games and 20000 members you would still be complaining. People have lives and footy is simply not their no 1 priority. Games at different timeslots mean it is often hard to plan for. Playing the 18th placed team at a crudhole of a stadium is not conducive to big crowds.
  3. Dunstan can't got a target
  4. 7 tackles inside 50 is v good
  5. The one change I would like to see is Petracca. I wish he would change his boots. Watched his highlights package and he slipped over on at least 4 occasions whilst kicking. I mean WTF is that? Its infuriating.
  6. Clarkson used to do this all the time when the Hawks were dominating, He would get them to do 2 minute drills, one behind the ball, an extra at the stoppage etc. That stuff doesn't happen by accident and its hard to train for. Having the luxury of doing it in games that you control is a Godsend. Goody doesn't care about smashing teams by 100pts. What benefit do you get out of that? Aside from a little percentage, very little. He would rather teach the team various scenarios that will be needed at some point. He also knows that the flag isn't won in May and its about getting there in the fittest possible state and at the top 2 on the ladder.
  7. They had 12 premiership players playing. They weren't a VFL side. Weakened yes but not a VFL side.
  8. We got Mitch Clark who was going home to Freo until we 'stole' him from under their noses
  9. You forgot that he launched himself at Foley, had both feet off the ground, tried to turn him side on and let go before he hit the ground. All in one motion. Quite an achievement actually. No way he should get suspended for that.
  10. Said in the pre game thread that we're at least a 3 goal per qtr better side and any less would be a wasted opportunity so the result was about par for mine west coast brought a lot of heat and we handled it well
  11. I hear you but can you name a similar style player in the last 10/15 years? Goodes maybe? there aren't too many
  12. There's 4 million more people in Vic than WA
  13. I just want to make sure these nighclubbing ferals don't give our boys Covid
  14. Elliott Yeo out with H&S Protocols Rioli out Hurn may be rested! They can' take a trick Crush them Deees. No mercy
  15. Circle those wagons, the brand is under attack
  16. A garden variety mid for a potential once in a generation versatile big man. Nah
  17. jnrmac replied to Turner's topic in Melbourne Demons
needs? really? He's also a sook that picks and chooses when to put in. If you won't run you won't get picked in a Goodwin team
  18. 3rd qtr they only scored 2 goals to our 1. They did have a lot of the play though
  19. I can't think of a better or more impressive trade into our club that Steven May in the past 50 years. He is an absolute rock. When we changed our recruiting after Prendergast and started looking for fierce competitors we started getting guys like Viney, Lever, Tracc, Oliver, Langdon and May Outstanding individuals.
  20. We are a 3 goal a qtr better side as a minimum. Less than a 12 goal win would be a wasted opportunity. Could give 186 a shake
  21. Its a similar argument to those that say the Dees 'haven't played anyone yet' You have to base games on last years ladder position as best you can then fit in the showdowns, derbys, marquee matches etc. Basing an argument on this years ladder position is plain silly as no one could predict it. Port Giants Ess and Bulldogs have all underperformed dramatically and very few would have predicted all four of those events. and I don't even bother with the fixture now. We can beat anyone anywhere.
  22. The stupid decision to halt the game for 25 minutes and then we had to withstand a frenzied West Coast attack that scared the daylights out of us. Our record at Optus is pretty good having won our last three there....including 2 finals,,
  23. Lyon was atrocious. he started off incredibly biased having admitted he hasnt watched the Dees a lot this year and you could literally hear the cogs in his brain whirring as he grudgingly (at first) started to admit the Dees were a cut above all other teams. He was fully on board by late in the game.
  24. We play to defend leads, not to put our feet down and win by 80. In the last we knew they would come, that they would take more risks and try to attack the corridor. Our set up was all about negating that and taking the heat out of the game. We have been doing it for a while. I suspect it will come back to bite us one day but I can see why they are doing it
  25. At half time Lever was on the bike during the team meeting - everyone else was seated. That was probably for the corky But he also had one boot off. Just sayin...
