  1. See yourself out thanks...
  2. The Giants team looks weak up fwd without Hogan. 3. A great story and one of our best. But his lazy defensive efforts at times takes the shine off him for me. As you have compared him somewhat to Bruest I was intrigued by Bruests defensive numbers and Bruest's tackles and handballs so I checked and they are a cut above (also 8 x 40goals incl 3 x over 50 goals). Fritsch is not the team player the Bruest is. If he could only add that to his game he would be one of the AFLs all time greats. Nonetheless he is a great Melbourne player and congrats on 150 games. 4. Beautiful to see Carlton choking
  5. If there is three it will be Langford, Sharp, Lindsay AJ to be emergency I'd be shocked to see Jefferson play and I cant see Spargo being ready
  6. Gee we miss Hibbo
  7. Sharp and Langdon waxing will do the job for us
  8. Just watched the 1st qtr from last year. 5g 5b to 1g 2b the Dees were on fire in the 1st. Huge pressure and they stopped the Giants running game. This was at a time when the Dees weren't playing well so it was good to refresh the memory. I suspect they know exactly what they need to do to beat the Giants
  9. Of course that could happen. I sense AJ is a Goody type of player. A desperado who loves combat and will give his all. Turner as much as I like him goes missing for large chunks of games.
  10. Turner has done nothing in the pre-season. There are others in that boat too but personally I think AJ has done more than enough to get selected ahead of Turner. Even Campbell has done more than Turner. I like Turner but not sure where his fitness is at.
  11. Human nature to show them what they let go
  12. Super bad luck for Culley
  13. To me it all seems dependent on stopping their running game. It looks pretty powerful. Hopefully our fitness is up to scratch and we're able to cut off their fwd handball chains.
  14. I suspect these 'fringe' players are so scared of making an error they forget to play their natural game?
  15. He uses an iron or hybrid. Not sure he even posesses a 1 wood.
  16. It's hard to know but I assume that if Tracc did want to negotiate part of his contract he has an arrangement with Connors (or he could appoint someone else who is accredited) on an 'as needs' basis. That wouldn't be unusual.
  17. I guess it means she isn't there for her footballing pedigree
  18. This all about maximising brand Petracca Connors is way too busy and has little sway/expertise in the area of sports sponsorships IMO. The fact that he doesn't have an AFL accredited manager is good for us. It means he isn't going anywhere.
  19. AJ appears to have done more than Disco in the pre Season. Reckon he gets the nod
  20. This should be printed out and handed to all the players. We'll see whether the changes Goody implemented stand up. Freo got hold of us on the rebound a lot
  21. And we should never ever ever use that peanut Adrian Anderson again. He hates Melbourne. Played golf with him once and his disdain for our club was blindingly obvious.
  22. The problem here is we get beaten the same way. Chipping around our zone. Dirty balls i50 and avoiding May and Lever at all costs. And we get smashed on fast transition - as do most teams I guess. (i read all replies, reactions and comments because I get really anxious about what other posters think about me)
  23. https://www.3aw.com.au/rory-sloane-thinks-demons-will-respond-massively-in-2025/ 3aw Season Preview with lloyd and Rory Sloane. Demons from around 18:46 3AW Football’s Rory Sloane has praised Melbourne’s “incredibly driven” superstars, as they look to feature in September action in 2025. The former Adelaide Crows captain is confident Simon Goodwin’s side will get back to their best footy and make a big climb up the ladder. “It’s scary playing against those guys,” Sloane said on the 3AW Football pre-season podcast. “It excited me working with that midfield group, a lot of them are incredibly driven.”
  24. We gave up a goal on the weekend with a set play where Brennon cox floated to the wing and took a kick in mark against one of our wingers then playing on quickly Thats where Petty needs to be smarter as a defender and not allow those kind of easy outlet goals. With Gawn on one wing and Petty on the other for kick ins we can stop most run ons....
  25. Aren't we Premiers forever?
