We played Spencer, Pedersen and Dawes together. That's not exactly something to be happy about in the future

It's gonna be hard to grow as a footy club if we continue to show up with those performances. Horrible ball movement, turnovers that were worse than 2 years ago. Looked like we gave up trying to find targets. In addition, we are as slow as we've even been. Simply don't have the run and dare through the middle. Last quarter and a bit saved us from humiliation, but the blunt truth is that we never look like we're a chance against teams like Sydney, and that's what hurts, no matter what the final margin is.

This is great. Christian and his mum are so alike, and she's so happy despite her son's misfortune.

If he takes a few marks i50 like he did last week, I'll take that, I think he's good enough at both ends, just needs to apply a more consistent effort in order to become the player he can be

Might be against the grain but I wished we kept Ricky Petterd after 2012. Showed a lot pre-Neeld and then fell completely out of favour at the selection table. Been ok for the Tigers but I always liked the spirit he played with despite some disposal flaws. In addition, keeping Brad Green on for another 1-2 years could have been very beneficial. It makes me sick that we tried to fill that leadership void with aging fringe players from successful sides. His form started to suffer but it's clear that the turmoil around the club took a massive toll on him and he was being nudged out I'll never forget Emma Quayle predicting Darling as pick 12 pre-draft, then him slipping to 26 and us getting Cook. Who the hell thought he had what it takes? And then he couldn't even make it into the Casey firsts. Interested to see what Spence does given last time he was in the team he was showing something. Not sure what it says about Gawn though, thought he'd be coming along a bit better to be given a look.

I just hate the way umpires are shielded from criticism in our game compared with other sports. There should be room for dialogue from coaches about decisions. I get the feeling performances from certain umpires aren't scrutinised enough in order to ensure the best umpires get picked

It sucks that the injury is taken into consideration. There's no way May intended to concuss Rockliff, he didn't even leave the ground as he bumped. Just a bone crunching bump from a strong player. A player wouldn't get suspended for concussing a player with a knee to the head when taking a specky

Andrejs Everitt is a pretty good comparison, he's flirted with good form but remained an all-round average footballer. Only he's already gone through the Dogs and the Swans. Leuenberger and Palmer have been highly touted but failed to deliver for years. Mckenzie hasn't really developed like the rest. M.Brown and Addison haven't reached any heights. The rest on the list are a decent bunch of players.

After our win against the Tigers he said to a young girl in front row "What's your name, hi, I'm Tom". It seemed really unusual for an AFL player

JKH was a positive from Sunday for mine. Hadn't noticed him much priorly this year, but won some meaningful possessions in the middle. I think he has the potential to be a good ball winner rather than your typical small forward

100 games in, and while he has a position on the team, he still doesn't have a position on the field. He's had very limited success as a defender/onballer/utility. Wish he'd just be given the keys as a lead up forward.

If you're gonna reward hitting the post, forget kicking it between them and just have one post you have to hit to score

Dawes has missed plenty of chances at being a good footballer

The good thing about Howe is that I was expecting him to go the trajectory of other Bailey-Neeld encompassing players. Down, injured, and then down some more. It's disappointing he hasn't turned into a mercurial forward, but the fact he's still playing decent footy is good enough for me. It's shocking to think about howe (no pun intended, I'm just a terrible speller) he could perform at another club.

Making Taggert captain would've been a good excuse to actually play him

Overrated player, had one or two really good years, but has been on decline since he got the captaincy. I'd fear seeing an even greater fall in form if we somehow coaxed him. No from me.

I have faith that Watts won't play poorly two weeks in a row, which will help if we clear out the 50 and let him play in his best position
