I'm not actually against the Franklin verdict if consistency on it remains People have said that the player's height should be a factor, and I think with Buddy's height difference it was unavoidable to get Edwards in the head. I understand that it could be the AFL sucking up to Buddy and the Swans, but the bump really wasn't all that vicious and out of the spirit of the game
  2. I wanna see Naitanui mangled like a rag doll
  3. Let's just do a deal with China again and hand out free MFC memberships with immigrations. Or get some billboards up in the city or something
  4. Let's hope Goodwin doesn't start driving a sports car next year
  5. I re-did our song earlier on another thread (incorporating 'Melbourne')
  6. I'm sure every team has a party squad, not sure about god squads though
  7. Garland must be in the 'mentally scarred' he was rambling on about though
  8. Kent, really? I'd probably take Riley out of the delistings, at this stage anyway.
  9. So did Harmichael ACTUALLY feel better on Swisse?
  10. I'm thinking Spencer should stay just because the combo worked well. So then if we're probably too big, then Dawes should sit, even though I thought he was alright against Geelong I can't see him being that influential in Darwin
  11. I understand his value to the team, however he's not really pivotal to our defence anymore. "High quality AFL defender" kind of conjures that up
  12. He's only played like our 4th-6th best defender as opposed to best 1st-2nd
  13. No use getting rid of Garland now unless we could get a major upgrade in that position, or there's someone vying for his spot like Frost or O-Mac. Has had a pretty poor season though
  14. Exactly, and you can't make it with 11 wins anymore unless a team gets banned for injecting themselves
  15. Must suck if you're an AFL player who's a guitarist in their spare time with all the potential for finger injuries
  16. Understandable given it's a bye this week. In fact most teams would probably let their players do whatever, good on behalf of the players to show up to that sort of thing. Shame I couldn't make it
  17. I don't think he's an AFL standard on-baller. We saw the potential of what he can do in his first couple of years but he really plodded along in 2012-2013 and was beaten up by much better players each week when given the reins. Could've been injuries, could've been the burden of captaincy, but I'm not expecting him to become a midfield star, much more a handy flanker/winger if he does get full fitness back. I do think he can play an important role as we become a top 8 side again as he seems passionate and determined
  18. So if he's so versatile what's so shocking about him playing on a flank? I agree he's a good mark and has goal kicking potential
  19. Did anyone else purchase anything through New Balance's 55% off offer for Melbourne members? Their management is disgraceful. 3-5 business days delivery they say. Ordered my shoes nearly a month ago (May 27), after inquiring over the phone when they were late, it turns out they run their operations from America and have had trouble managing orders. I get an email a week ago to review my product that I didn't get, then a few days ago am sent an email about a refund. After ringing up again apparently my shoes are (and were always) in stock and are NOW on their way, they're still having issues, the [censored] factory where they're held is barely 10km from my house and I'm still waiting for runners (that I need) I ordered a month ago. Some great offer this was. Our club should be ashamed for sending it out to its members. 55% off to wait 10000% more time than it takes a normal company to send a package
  20. There's rarely an obvious player to pick at pick 23 though. The Crows would've had him in mind due to the fact he's Brad's younger brother too. Vince is a bargain in anyone's eyes, very talented player who was too young to pack up shop after the Crows tired of him
  21. Because he's not a clearance winner or a big possession guy and we'll already (barring more injuries) have a strong midfield to choose from.
  22. Maybe as more of a half forward though. Think we're a lot better without him at stoppages
  23. Sorry, I'm not as optimistic as you lot. He hasn't played in a year and a half, has had major foot trouble which is the only reason he's still with us, people are acting as if he'll be able to walk into the 22 and star next season. The last time he was playing regularly no one was singing praises about him
  24. Just did this with a similar addon for Chrome however it only captured the first quarter
