  1. Brett Anderson compared him to Jobe Watson on SEN this morning. He hopes we pick him.
  2. Theo

    Jack Watts

The original interview was with Garry Lyon, Tim W and Hamish. KB just replayed it on his show. SEN audio has the interview
  3. Watching his highlights he reminds me of a young Liam Picken. Courageous, good mark, shows desperation.
  4. Overuse of handball. No one wants to take responsibility in kicking the ball. Partly caused by no players up forward to kick to. Playing dry weather football in the wet doesn't work.
  5. Could have drafted Cripps ahead of Salem. Jason Taylor's decision?
  6. Where is Keilty this week. Injured?
  7. The OX just said (again) on SEN we should target Vickery. He needs a change of culture which we could provide.
  8. Max Gawn said on Thursday night at the Bentleigh Club that he understood we were looking at two Essendon players. I wonder who they could be?
  9. We need Declan Keilty and Tim Smith at the Dee's. Keilty is 21 and is improving every game. Is versatile and can play in multiple positions. At 25 Smith is a great mark and kick for goal. Would do well playing next to Hogan.
  10. On the news tonight Mark Stevens said Prestia was coming to MFC
  11. Handball happy as usual. Brayshaw's decisi It's not Darwin it's the team. I was in Darwin last week and it was a perfect night. Low humidity. The ground was wet from watering. Hawthorn wouldn't f---ing lose after playing there. Sick of Darwin always being the excuse
  12. Handball happy as usual. Brayshaw's decision- making was woeful kept hand passing into trouble. Grimes gone, White very poor, Wagner average. St. Kilda more desperate.
  13. Booked yesterday. Similar night to the "Dinner with the Viney's" they held last year. Great night out. I know a number of us on the Darwin trip are going.
  14. Patrick Cripps is probably the one that got away. Would be a top 5 pick if the draft was held today.
  15. Peter Jackson on SEN with the OX and Francis Leach just confirmed MFC is interested in Michael Hibberd should he wish to change clubs. Sounded like they were heavily into negotiations with him. PJ doesn't usually give much away but it sounded very positive. http://www.sen.com.au/audio#q8S6GvD1qYkx6zWY.97
  16. Watching the pre-game on foxfooty David King was interviewing a pre-recorded segment with Jack Watts. They were hitting golf balls at Albert Park Driving Range and King asked him if the great man (Hogan) has been around to his place. Wattsy laughed and said he's around all the time and it's sickening to watch the lovey-dovey carry on with him and i assume a girlfriend. I don't know whether it's Jack's sister or someone else, however it inferred Hogan was smitten and always coming around to Jacks.
  17. Can't stand Brererton on special comments. I accept that he is knowledgeable but he has no idea of what "concise and to the point" is. What could be said in few words becomes a monologue. A man of few words, his is not. Very frustrating. I don't need a dissertation watching the footy.
  18. Alice Springs weather 23c light winds. 44% humidity. Perfect for footy.
  19. We need a Jeremy McGovern or an Easton Wood type player that are great marks and can play a sweeping role to assist TMac.
  20. It's MFC membership day on SEN tomorrow. Paul Roos is being interviewed and probably others during the day.
  21. Just booked to go with my wife. The 3rd time we've gone with the club and always had a great time. We probably would never have gone to Darwin, Kakadu, Uluru and Alice if we didn't include it with the footy package through the Club. One year we continued on to Bali from Darwin. Very convenient and will do it again.
  22. Jake Spencer - Plantar fasciitis (From interview with Paul Roos on SEN)
  23. No system is perfect and exploitation will always occur. However, you have to start somewhere and with good intentions. No free agents to the top four clubs has already been discussed in the media with pros or cons either way . However, something has to be done because even someone like Brayshaw who was a Frawley compensation pick could walk to a premiership contender after 8 years. We could well be nothing more than a nurturing club for the top clubs. Tanking will never go away unless there is a lottery type system for the bottom 8 teams. But I believe giving the first 8 draft picks to the bottom 4 clubs (or something similar) would give clubs the chance to move up the ladder more quickly than the current system. ,
  24. - Play reserves games before the main game. - The bottom 4 teams get the first 8 draft picks. i.e bottom team gets picks 1 & 5. Second last has picks 2 & 6 - The top 4 clubs cannot enter into free agency. - Free Agency compensation continues. - Collingwood plays one game at Geelong every year and has at least two scheduled 4-40 games on a Sunday. - MFC plays all it's day games at either 1-10 or 2-10.
  25. It's clear that many demonlanders dislike Sen 1116. I persevere with the station as I "hang-on" all things football. Without it I would have to listen to Dwayne Russell and Gerard Healey for my daily football fix. That is not a good thought. Anyway Mark Fine did a great interview last week Ross Dillon, one of my all time favourties. Titled Small time footy heroes-Kyabram. http://www.sen.com.au/audio#9QOMlTRgE7Q5ZULz.97 enjoy.
