so does this mean he gets to nominate which club he wants to train with? And basically if he goes into the national draft any club can draft him with any given draft selection?

This is the reason i clicked onto this thread, im hoping someone who ACTUALLY KNOWS something can give us an insight.... how severe are the symptoms? Do we have any time frame? was he doing any contact work towards the end of the year or was he just working on fitness or nothing at all? is that bad that he has been written off? Look at paddy mccartins case, this is no joke so people questioning his drive and commitment with out knowing are idiotic. As for calling him stake knives and a waste.... do you remember when he actually nominated this club? For me it was finally a time where we where beginning to become some what of a destination club, also people that know more about him know he is a very talented player so 300k a year really isnt surprising....

Well there it is! Based on the 4 minute highlight clips that we all form our options from he is our man!!! Did not want that highlight reel to stop. I read that he is a great intercept marker too as well as pretty courageous and willing to out him body on the line. Isn' it strange, reading into all the media hype pre trade period and before gold Coast got thier charity package I had the Impression this was a pretty shallow draft I can now see us taking two very solid players capable of playing 200 plus games for the club. The only worry is we can get caught in drafting for needs e.g weightman unless our scouts who should have been watching the under 18s all year and would know much more than us(not always gaurenteed to be correct though)... Also players who may not translate to afl, (small ceiling players) we need to look for players with elite ball use and decision making as well as predict the ability for them to continue to improve and mature into star afl players. GREAT WORK DEES, love the idea of sacrificing next year' first rround in a draft full of academy/ father sons for this year' group of boys.

This is very true! People have short memories, while we are all growing impatient we still understand the talent is there. If we fail to make the finals next year I want this club to be ruthless. I also expect some changes this trade period, just because things aren' bbing rreported (most of wich is [censored] anyway) doesn't ' mean something big isn' brewing in the background. Exactly!!! this club has stuffed up so many draft picks and ruined careers through terrible development and managemet. Stop blaming the AFL, of course there priority is in expanding the afl and supporting their investment. Having a stable club in the Gold Coast and two Queensland teams will be great for the competition and obviously that' their priority.

Yeah I understand, but we have had so many opportunities to draft the right players and develop these tallneted kids into afl players. We have a solid list that has taken us to a prelim, we now have to use what we have to take the next step. Potentially trading pick 3 to bring in some outsde run/polish.

Honestly who gives a [censored]. It sucks not being able to get Noah Anderson sure but how many times have we stuffed our picks up anyway.... . Also look at Richmond they didn' build there success around high draft picks they actually fluffed em like us. But our problems lie elsewhere. And will not be answered in the draft. Tom Lynch smashed TMac early on the weekend and Riewoldt the week before, having an extra big defender with the aggression and competitiveness of Hurley is perfect. Someone please tell me what Weideman has done to create such excitement. Hes barely played in the last two years due to stress fractures or stress related injuries, I wouldn't touch him personally. Any Two of Parish Oliver Francis or Curnow and im happy. Its relieving to hear Goodwin and Mcartney have been watching the falcons closely, ill back there decisions on weather to take parish or curnow.
