The big call that needs to be made in regards to our forward line.... I loved having Jackson out there, of course its exciting to see our next big forward/ruck/midfielder prized draft pick much like king is to stkilda we just want him out there, its exciting! But our absolute priority should be to win games and play our strongest 22. If we had of went on our merry ways and actually finished that game of with some sort of decency then the tone would be different. As for choofta, he has to be our man going forward I like to compare him to Charlie Curnow both shown great quality in patches also taken in the same draft.... Its easy to get impatient but his time is only really approaching. Let him play a few more scratch matches apparently there's more space with smaller sides it will help his confidence we shouldn't look to force him back confidence is everything! And we seem to have the options.. If I'm goody I bring in Brown, I think he's much more unpredictable as in he won't play out the goal square( not that our forward line is any bit predictable at the minute). Lets go with a dynamic forward line can't afford to have the mindset that Weideman is our big forward out the goal square and start bombing the ball long like we did against west coast if we resort back to this Ill bloody stick my foot through the screen. No more dumb football PLEASE! Tom McDonald.... needs a new role, get him playing to his strengths empty his tank get him running up and down the lines, we could use a reliable bail out kick from defence, someone we can rely on to be a marking option down the line instead of relying on max do bail us out. He just isn't hitting the scoreboard and doesn't look at all dangerous in our forward 50. We need him firing, so let him run free and throw his body around!

we can judge along the way, there will be glimpses and flashes of brilliance i hope. The way i see it, he has a high ceiling so thats exciting enough. Just imagine him applying his athleticism as a forward/ruckman/midfielder at 199cm potentially taller and definitely bigger come next year. If the rest of the club hit there straps it will be the perfect environment for him to develop, along side a hungry Pruess and the best ruckman in the comp. The thing thats bugging me the most at the moment is, if Hayden Young Slides to Freos Pick that we traded them and they take him at 8 or 9 or what ever it is! Surely weve had a chat and are aware of who freo are targeting..... then again probably not at all and he will be select right before our pick!!! -

I feel its almost as simple as they have enough depth in that department.... And with Jacobs and Mummy in there 30s it makes total sense for them to take the gamble... Another beast in the engine room please! But yeah lets all calm down, JT and the gang do this for living they know their [censored]. (serious) -
Always go best available! Im not wowed by his highlights either tbh, sure his ground ball and quick hands are great but he doesnt look to have much acceleration or precise kicking.... Is it possible his Power rankings are high because he is playing in NSW against poor opposition"? Having said that, i remember people commenting on Ollie Wines' ability from highlight packages picking out his lack of pace and penetration in kicking.... Personally i like Young @3 Kemp @8, BIg body powerfull explosive midfeilder...

How can GWS be so sure that we wouldn't bid on Green? This whole time its been Rowell, Anderson and Green as the clear top 3 with even some dispute as to green being the clear best inside mid, and if the comparisons of Crips are real and he is the best inside mid surely we bid! Is there any proper footage from his Under 18 NAB champs?

Fair enough, and so we should. But would in particular stands about him, besides his "athletism". Most of us have no idea obviously, unless they can say they've followed them through out the year and even the previous to gauge development. This is such a bizzare time of year. -

I'm not buying it, surely where not actually considering taking a prospective ruckman/forward.... Does not make sense at all. -
Agree, his tick leads are forward craft is quite good, its hard being a forward when things arent going well. Theres not many small /mid forwards that dont go missing from time to time. IMO no point having him in the backline purely for his line breaking speed...his kicking under pressure when running at full speed is average at times so id rather not have him delivering out of defence to save us all the head aches....frost is gone, lets have elite users delivering out such a critical part of the field. forward/ mid/ wing for mine

also have to take into account that it's unlikely they will retain all those players.... First to second year players are cheaper...
